Ivation 6 Tray Food Dehydrator for Jerky, Herbs & Fruit

I have been using this dehydrator for a week. It works wonderfully! I fitted silicon mats for the trays, and have dehydrated vegetables, some fruits, and have made turkey and pineapple pork jerky. Everything came out beautifully! The unit is very easy to clean, and the stainless looks really good on the counter. My one concern was the noise level of the fan, not a problem! It’s audible so you know it’s working, but not annoying in any way. I looked for sometime before making my decision on the brand and unit, I couldn’t be happier so far!

I recently purchased this machine to replace my much larger sized LEM brand machine. This little machine outperforms the larger LEM in temperature control, timer length and speed of drying. I used to have to dehydrate tomatoes for 24-28 hours (Roma tomato) in my LEM, this machine finished the same task in 14 hours and it didn;t heat my entire basement in the process. Great machine and an amazing price. Also, much smaller footprint so took up way less space than the bulkier machines I've owned.

This dehydrator is awesome! We’ve already eaten all of the fruit that I dried the other day.. the apples were so sweet & crisp and the strawberries are perfect for adding to cereal & baked goods. Can’t wait to try it out on other foods. It was bought as a replacement for a dehydrator with the fan on the bottom.. I make a lot of jerky and the other dehydrator was impossible to clean plus it had no timer and only 1 heat setting. This is soooo easy to clean and much quieter than my old dehydrator. I highly recommend it.

Recently purchased after having had a disastrous experience with two other manufacturer’s dehydrators. So far, finding this an excellent product, with the possible exception that the owner’s manual is astonishingly thin - absent any meaningful detailed information for dehydrating techniques, absolutely no recipes (DEFINITELY order WITH some accompanying dehydrating book, unless they’re previously in possession...). In summary: easy to operate, easy to clean, handsome equipment, not unpleasantly noisy, study - not “cheaply” constructed, works exactly as desired for dehydrating functions... A very good product, a satisfactory purchase for a highly discerning shopper. Recommended...✨🏹

This deyhdrator has worked well for me so far and includes temperature controls that make it easy to use for a variety of foods. One caveat to be aware of is that while this is fairly well made, it is not a commercial-level item as the item title states. The manual clearly states the item is "not for outdoor or commercial use" so please keep in mind this is for home-use applications.

I replaced a dehydrator that was about 30-35 years old. What I especially like about the ivation is the time and temp control. I found that a slightly increased temp saved in some cases an hour or more in operation. The shelves are stainless steel, therefore, easy to clean and food doesn't stick.

I usually don’t write reviews, but this is a great product. It is solid, easy to use and 6 trays are enough for our use. Runs pretty quietly. Magnetic door is a nice plus, controls are simple to use. Has a large footprint so will take up a chunk of counter space. Having a light inside would be nice. Overall exceeded my expectations.

I am very pleased with this food dehydrator. It is solidly made, easy to clean, easy to operate with a variety of temperature and time settings that can be easily changed during the drying process. The fan is quieter than I expected. Overall a great buy at a fair price!

EN :A dehydrator that works perfectly! I made jerky of beef, turkey, geese, moose, ducks and every time it was a real success. It dries the meat quickly and perfectly! As it heats up quickly, it takes about 6 hours to make jerky for 1/8 thick slices and up to 8-9 hours for 1 inch by 1 inch sticks. I also made dried bananas, another success. Honestly, this is my first dehydrator and I am really glad I chose this product. I recommand it ! Just to say, the stainless steel plates never get dirty, nothing sticks to it and the whole product is extremely easy to clean FR : Un déshydrateur qui fonctionne parfaitement ! J'ai fait du jerky de boeuf, de dinde, de bernache, d'orignal, canards et à tous les coups ce fû un véritable succès. Il sèche la viande rapidement et parfaitement ! Comme il chauffe rapidement, cela prend environ 6h pour faire du jerky pour des tranches de 1/8 d'épaisseur et jusqu'à 8-9h pour des batonnets de 1 pouce par 1 pouce. J'ai également fait des bananes séchées, un autre succès. Honnêtement, c'est mon premier désydrateur et je suis vraiment content d'avoir choisi ce produit. Je le recommande ! Juste pour dire, les plaques en acier inoxidable ne se salissent jamais, rien ne collent dessus et l'ensemble du produit est extrêmement facile à netoyer ES : ¡Un deshidratador que funciona perfectamente! I purchased the 6 tray dehydrator and it is very large. (In a good way). Works super well, better than your small plastic standard dehydrator. But Both will get the job done. With this dehydrator there is a fan that circulates the hot air to provide even dehydration. Which I really like, it makes it a lot quicker than a standard dehydrator that doesn’t circulate. This fan thankfully runs very quiet, sounds like a super quiet AC so it’s not silent like your standard cheap dehydrator with no fan. You can adjust the temperature and timer. By the door a lot of heat seems to escape which worried me, but it doesn’t seem to matter. The one thing I absolutely HATE about this dehydrator is how loud the beeping is!!! When you turn it on, adjust the temperature, or the timer the dehydrator beeps once. It’s so obnoxiously loud and for what? When it’s done dehydrating it beeps a total of 20 times? I don’t know why it can’t just beep a few times. The first time I didn’t think it stopped, I thought maybe you had to open the door or manually stop it because it beeps so much. The only way to stop the timer is to unplug it or stop it before the timer goes. I wish you could turn off the beeping or lower the volume. Still over all 5 stars.

I never dehydrated a thing before I bought this unit. I am now dehydrating daily. This is a nice quality product. Stainless Steel Box. Stainless Grates. The controls are so simple to use. The interior box is stainless steel and easy to clean. Nice Window on the "hinged" door. Not a drop in door. A real door... For my use to date, the 6 drying trays are enough. I wasn't sure about the 6 or getting the 10. As I had never dehydrated before. If you had a need for more capacity maybe spend the extra and buy the 10 tray. My use is personal and not a business. So my 6 tray unit is perfect. I didn't want the plastic dehydrators as I understand the difference between quality. There is little on this unit to break. Everything is Stainless Steel except for the 1 drip tray that you remove to clean on the bottom and the fine mesh BPA Free drying piece you would lay on one of the grates for small berries, Herbs, etc. to dry. Yes, this is a more expensive Unit than the cheaper Plastic ones. However I want things to last and based on my experience so far, this should last me a long time. I feel this is a great product for a reasonable price considering the quality of the unit.

We live in foresty BC, Canada. We live off the grid with solar panels and batteries and a generator for back up. I ordered this unit as it had the best recommendations, esp for our life style. Over the past week I have dried green onions and mushrooms. Both needed a little longer drying time than recommended, but that could be because I use a lower temp to keep the wattage down. I leave it off during the night and start again the next day. The veggies dried nicely. You need more small weaved pads, as only one is supplied, fir small products. We put a volt meter on the unit to see what amps it was using. Much less than advertised. It is a very nice looking unit, cleans up easily, see through door for easy viewing drying product. So far I am very pleased with it.
