Bern Helmets Fit Me Best
UPDATE:helmet ratchet stripped after a few uses. just spins now no longer maintains tension so the helmet now is loose fitting. might reach out to Bern but given the age, they likely will not honor any type of warranty.maybe it is my oval pea head, maybe it's that this is sized for women, but they say once you find a helmet manufacturer whose helmet shape fits, stick with it. Bern helmets fit my oval pea head shape better than any others.my first Bern was the G2 winter (no longer made) with adjustable venting in a Men's small. it was always too large but the shape matched my head to a T so whether using the winter liner or thick winter caps, it was a warm, protective option that with a quick slide of the top lever, would vent internal heat build up. in summer, i had to wear thick headbands or hats to be able to cinch it down with the straps, but compared to other helmet manufacturers, the straps are a weakness in all Berns).post-crash, i picked up this Bern Lenox and let me say this helmet has gotten a lot of compliments due to the slim visor, yellow straps, slight black sheen, & gold emblem, paying homage to my Steelers. it fit a bit tight at first but the dial in back immediately relieved the tension to where for my pea head (typically a unisex XS and childrens L) fit snug as needed to not shift while riding. not a fan of Bern's lack of chin padding and don't care for the dial fit mechanism b/c i do notice it/feel it when wearing hoodies or with a taller back pack. i can even squeeze a Gore hat or windproof liner under, which you will need when the temps drop.overall a great investment but i will likely buy the winter liner from Bern ($50) or the winter version of this helmet. as far as safety goes, these helmets are approved for skate, bike, and ski. more important, the look good, fit my head shape better than all others. the few times i have crashed in a Bern, my head has not even so much as a head ache. well worth the investment.

Bern Helmet - looks nice but do not work well on daily use
Attachment is not good on this one, it is slippery and needs to adjust all the time. Does not feel safe. I have contacted the Bern company but never got respond from them. Helmet feels loose under the chin. Looks nice and has stylish colour. The safety issues do not reach standard helmet requirements (with this model or colour). I have previously had Bern helmet, and did not have this issue.
