I’ve been waiting
I am a hardcore fan of this manga and I have been waiting for this book with much anticipation. Although I already knew what was coming in this volume, I can’t say that this series has disappointed me yet. (Although I want to see more Nick and Alex 😂) I hope that Kohske feels better and is able to continue the series soon ❤️

So Impressive
Rich, nuanced, visually stunning, visceral, and heartbreaking, Gangsta continues its reign of pathos and brutality with this volume 8, a return to the story after a 2 year break by author Kohske. In this book, the all out war of hunters vs Twilights continues, with casualties mounting. No one is safe in a world where loving someone can be your greatest strength and your ultimate weakness.Story: Marco, formerly known as Spas, has only one objective - find Connie and save her from the Hunters who have captured her in order to draw him out. At the same time, battles of life and death are being fought all across the city, the winner taking survival as his or her only prize. As Nicholas recovers from his O/D, he's sidelined in the fights while Worrick gathers allies for all out war. This time, Worrick's end goal is to go all out and permanently end the fighting and the hunters - and ensure this history never repeats itself again. The volume has quite a few battles but at its heart, it is about Marco/Spas. He is one of the fiercest Twilights and this book is really his story, providing flashbacks of his violent past and then rehabilitation by Connie. Kohske seamlessly weaves in flashbacks with present day to further give her nonlinear story punch. The series is mostly images - every single panel being poignant and requiring more than a quick glance to understand what is being 'said'. It's a story that greatly rewards with each reread as so many pieces come together. The 2 year wait is difficult - there is a large cast of characters and they are each going through a personal hell that Kohske has written them into and with few chances of escape. It's a hopeless, violent, desperate world but so amazingly written and drawn in every single aspect. This feels like the middle of a large scale final battle. I am greatly interested to see where this goes in Volume 9 as characters get attention and focus in arcs. Reviewed from an advance reader copy provided by the publisher.

I'm so glad it's back.
I've been waiting patiently for the years long break Kohske took for her health. I've been reading and completed the 5 volumes of Gangsta: Cursed which follows Marco in his Spas/Destroyers days in the mean time and it's also great.Anyway, no spoilers but this volume was heartbreaking, beautiful, and very strong. I will admit I cried lol.

Excelente
A entrega foi rápida, produto bem embalado e o mangá é lindo. Diferente da versão em português. Qualidade boa e no site com a versão em inglês fica mais fácil completar a coleção.
