Great author..great recipes. Easy to follow.

An oldie, but a goodie! Using vegetables and spices we know and can easily purchase in any supermarket (not just Whole Foods), this cookbook has recipes that deliver wonderful results! I gave this cookbook as a present to a friend ages ago. After her move to Florida, she wrote to say she'd found it again (remembered us cooking from it and wanted to know if I wanted it back). I wanted her to remember our good times cooking together and to keep and enjoy it forever! LOL I ordered another copy for a dear member of my extended family, who called to say she loved it and was so happy to see recipes that didn't call for so many exotic vegetables and/or spices. She too loved the recipes, and that says it all. I'm ordering another to add to my cookbook collection. These recipes stand up to the test of time, and are fabulous for the budget-conscious cook! Long live the Enchanted Broccoli Forest!

There is NO new section on fresh pasta. Disappointed because that's the info I was looking for. There is a new section on bread making, though (duh you guys, that's not the same thing). I can't say anything but good things about the recipes - I've worn out my 1982 copy.

Enjoying seeing these old style recipes I used to have this book but in all my moves it has disappeared. So glad to have it back.

My old copy has just fallen apart and I am thrilled I could still find a copy. Great recipes, and illustrations . For those of us who like healthy food and need ideas on interesting dishes this is a classic whole food guide.

A great vegetarian cookbook from decades past, but the simple directions and ingredients make it a go-to for everyday.

Great companion to The Moosewood Cookbook.

I have been fo d of the Moosewood Cookbook for years so I was excited upon receiving this book seeing what it had to offer.Good: The bread section is pretty awesome. As are some of the dips and spreads. I like that each recipe uses real, unprocessed food.Bad: It was written in the time of "low-fat everything". So it's outdated in that regard. One can usually alter the recipes to make them more wholesome though. Also bad, some of the pages in my book had been ripped out! Weird.Strange: I haven't made anything from the Entree section because nearly all of them have strange ingredient combinations that I just can't imagine palatable.Overall, there are some recipes I'll probably never make, but I like having the book in my kitchen.

I already had the original Enchanted Broccoli Forest so knew it contained excellent recipes, but pleased tohave the updated version and a nice almost new copy to replace my tatty old one.The new version still has the delightful handwritten plus line drawing formatTry the pasta sauce with sprouts & mushrooms

Bought for a niece who's vegetarian and had never heard of the Enchanted Broccoli Forest, which I constantly refer to. She loved it, so it sounds as if the standard has been well kept up.

After receiving the original nearly thirty years ago this is still my favourite vegetarian & overall cookbook. Recipes are guaranteed to work, be delicious & easy. The style of writing is warm & cosy which only adds to the happiness of using this book.

Wirklich ausgefallene vegetarische Rezepte, für die ungeübten Amis narrensicher erklärt und mit schönen Illustrationen und manchmal netten Sprüchen versehen. Absolut empfehlenswert, wenn man genug Englisch kann, um die Rezepte zu verstehen und die Maße umzurechnen.
