Hakko. FX-901/P Cordless Soldering Iron (Limited Edition)

This soldering iron heats up quickly and does the job perfectly for small jobs with wires less than 14ga. My only issue is that the tip is kinda chunky, which limits its use for precision work on PCBs... and that's exactly where this iron would otherwise shine. I wish there were more different tips available, or that it used standard tips instead of these proprietary ones. The only ones available are the chunky included one (60 degree 4mm wide cone T-11B), or an even chunkier wedge (T-11D).

It heats up quick and works for everything I have tried it on.

I was so impressed with Hakko products - i blindy bought this, should have been wiser to test quickly and return.No matter which battery you use and low temp solder you use - it wont melt anything.One work - JunkLiterally thrown away as I did not want anyone else to waste their time buying it from me.

i tried to use it to solder the 1.0mm solder wire, the wire melts a little bit , but the heat won't let the wire connected.Really disappointed.
