Spalding 54" Acrylic, 3.5" In-Ground Basketball System

Great hoop for the price. When it first arrived, I noticed the box was pretty beat up and ripped. We opened the box and sure enough, the backboard was cracked... probably FED-EX's fault.I contacted customer service, sent pictures of the broken backboard and within a week we had a new backboard. We just had it installed two days ago but so far seems pretty good. My son is enjoying playing on it.

The instructions are very poor. The unit when assembled though will make you forget about your last day of frustration

The basketball hoop is great. There are diagrams in the instructions that are flat out wrong, and others are just plain confusing .. And there's places where the instructions at the top of the page say "put these to things together" ( that won't ever come apart ) and at the bottom of the page, where you don't see it right away... "ATTENTION make sure the objects are oriented so the label is at a 90 degree angle". Well, we didn't see the "attention" until the items were attached. Kind of frustrating. But the hoop itself is great, the instructions on the other hand are marginal.

I like the ability to raise and lower the hoop with relative ease. The 3 sections of the pole were wrong as each section had a section that would fit only with one end of the other section. However, there were mix ups on which end fit into which end. There is a considerable amount of movement in the hoop and backboard when a ball hits the rim/backboard. The pole sections are too thin in my mind. I think a heavier metal and added weight would help in the sturdiness of the hoop system. For $370 its a slightly above average basketball hoop

Great basketball goal for the money. It looks great out on the driveway. Only drawback is that the backboard is a little more wobbly then you would want but I think that would be expected at the price point it's in. I found no better basketball goal then this one under the $800 price point.

Not sure how good this system is. We have ordered it twice from two different sellers and both times, it has arrived with a cracked headboard. Can’t be too sturdy. I saw the delivery guy and he didn’t handle the box roughly. The boxes on both orders looked horrible though so somewhere between the manufacturer and the shopper, it is going all wrong.

Great directions that made it very easy to install! Love it! Looks and works great!

We are happy with this hoop, especially compared to the price of some of the other in ground options. Doesn’t wobble much and backboard plays well.
