Vintage Christmas/Holiday Cookie Tin Container-Food Safe

I make fruitcakes for family members & friends who don't hate fruitcakes but actually love them or at least they love mine. *GRIN*. My recipe is larger than the typical fruitcake. I balked (at first) over the cost of these tins but I received them today & they are so worth the small extra cost. My 1 1/2 pound loaf style fruitcakes will fit perfectly in this tin. The wonderful surprise is that these tins are much more beautiful in person. Not only are they beautiful but the lid fits tightly so that if you're mailing cookies or food items in this tin, they will ship safely. Tins can of course get dented but these came to me protected & in excellent condition. Another reason I love these tins is that I know the receipitents will treasure them & probably pass them down so perhaps they will eventually become antiques just as the images used on these tins suggest. Love, love, love everything about these tins & highly recommend them as they are worthy of whatever delicious food item you will fill them with.Please Note: Almost immediately after my review above was posted, the seller & the cost changed. I can recommend the seller I was lucky to have found: "Sillie Willie's Sales" for $15.95. I can't recommend the new seller as I was lucky . to purchase from "Sillie Willie & it would be unfair to recommend someone I had no dealing with. In fact, I don't think it's fair for any review to be posted as if the seller was the same seller for every sale. Each seller should be rated independently. Why should any seller get credit for any item they have not sold? As buyers we all know that any sale will be as much about the seller as the merchandise.

I wish this tin came in a larger size- - this one will only hold about a dozen average-sized cookies. Or a fair amount of homemade candy! I recommend the cookie tin for small batch things, though. It would make a great gift box during the Christmas Season!

This tin was much larger than I was expecting. If it had been smaller, I would have loved it. I'm certain it stated the size in the description but I completely missed it. Sigh.

Nice look but way too much money. No thicker than the dollar store tins.

I was pleasantly surprised by this when it arrived. It is pretty thick, high quality, not bendable or easily debatable. Really very nice and the picture on it is adorable. HOWEVER, THE PRICE IS TOO HIGH for One.
