U9VL-J-10CP 9V Lithium Battery Contractor Pack (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I have used 4 of these now. One is leaking red fluid and 2 of the others did not last 9 months in smoke detectors. I typically can get 2 to 2-1/2 years with alkaline batteries. I'm expecting the 4th to start chirping the smoke alarm within 3 months as it's now on its' sixth.Up to 10 years? Don't believe it.VERY disappointed. Especially for the price paid. -John B.

I bought these in early 2010 and am now having my first failures. Two of the batteries failed within a year or so and I thought that was just manufacturing defects. Now it has been about 3-1/2 years and 2 more batteries have failed. So, out of 10 batteries used, 4 have failed sooner than I had expected. I did buy a second back of batteries, because I haven't found anything better, but I am also not really happy, either.

I was replacing 6 10+year old smoke detectors in my home with new units. The units came with standard alkaline 9V batteries but I wanted to eliminate the annual battery changing ritual. One of the smoke detectors is in a difficult to reach spot (high ceiling).I purchased this 10 pack of lithium batteries as replacements. The cost was very acceptable and I have 4 lithium batteries left over for other tasks PLUS I have the 6 alkaline batteries that came with the smoke detectors.Size was not an issue for the batteries. I had read that some 9V batteries were slightly different size from standard but these replaced Ever-Ready batteries with no problem.All have been installed for over 2 weeks and everything is working well. I have tested the smoke detectors using the test buttons and they work fine. The lights on the smoke detectors are correct even when I turn off the AC power to the units and they are running on battery.For the price, it seems to be putting in the lithium batteries is worthwhile because it saves the annual battery change requirements AND actually costs less then 5 years of individual alkaline batteries.

After two years many of the batteries were dead. These should have a shelf life of at least 10 years. They didn't for me.

I like these. They last longer

They just don't last. It may hold a charge but not if you use it. go to Radio Shack and just get a few 9 volters when you need them. Save a TON of $$$.So, if you are storing them for an emergency, probably ok - though I don't know. but use them and they will die as fast as any other.

I am going to give these a try. I can't say if they are worth it or not. I havent' tried them yet. I would really like to find long lasting 9V.

This is the second time I have purchased these. Our clubhouse has 18-20 foot ceilings and I really don't want to be climbing that high to change batteries in the smoke detectors. My home also has 12 foot ceilings. The first batch of batteries has been in place for over 5 years and the first one finally had to be replace. Sorry to see that they are being discontinued. I really hope that the replacements will be as good.

Wenn man mit 10 Batterien Werbung macht und nur 1 verschickt ist das ganz einfach Betrug.Also liebe Leute genau hinschauen solche wird es immer wieder geben.

Beware of this product. The description states batteries plural and the image quite clearly states that this is a contractors pack of 10. On receiving this product I discovered 1solitary battery.

The price is only for 1xbattery and not for 10xbattery as described. If you pay 11,07 €, you will receive only 1xbattery.
