It is a great purchase. 10/10
I work as a jumberjack in sweden and in addition to my beloved chainsaw i felt that I needed an axe or similar to deal with branches and minor twigs and so on. After looking at reviews and videos i decided on the single edge silky nata instead of a hatchet given that a longer blade would be better for clearing ground level vegetation and so on.Shipping from Japan to Sweden took about 20-25 days and with customs and delivery in sweden it cost about an additional 20 USD.Well worth it though! The silky nata is a real beast! it handles perfectly. It has a great balance when you hold it and came sharp as a razorblade.PROS:+Can easily cut through 2 inch branches of pine, fir/spruce or even oak without much effort from you. I've tried to chop wood up to about 20-25 cm/ 10 inches and it can be done, eventually.+The angle on the handle gives you great control over your swings.+The length, which i at first thought might be to long is no issue at all.+The weight is no issue while carrying it on your hip. The weight gives you a nice chop and you can use it without any strain on your hand or forearm.+The rubber handle gives you good friction even with gloves on.+Did I mention it looks BAD ASS!?! It could fit right into a fantasy video game.+While strapped to your belt you can take it off with a sturdy clip.+The aluminum sheath is sturdy and adds to the bad ass look.CONS:-You might want to add a strap for your leg otherwise it will bounce around.-A slight technique is required in order to chop branches without getting stuck in the tree fibers. I haven't tried the double edged version but i have read that left handled people should consider that version since the blade is sharpened to cut from right to left.SUMMARY:Buy it.10/10

Ok, Not amazing.
Why do people who bought the single edge say they Wish they had bought the double-edge, and vice versa? I bought the single, and it is OK but I too wish I got the double. Have a feeling if I got the double I'd still want the single lol. Nice blade. Will have to work on the edge as it has a working, but not sharp edge. Not sorry I bought it. It is made welk, but I will probably pick up a hatchet or machete over this for my uses.

A specialist tool.
The bad: 1. The two part handle loosens up under heavy use and the tang has a lot of sharp corners. It’s nothing some electrical tape can’t fix.2. The sheath is a little big so it rattles. The good: 1. The single bevel lets you chop in one direction faster than anything I’ve ever used. (Note) If you swing in the opposite direction, you will destroy your edge. This isn’t a bug, it’s a feature.2. The steel holds an edge well and came shave sharp out of the box.

Good Hatchet - So So Sheath
Great chopping tool for limbing small trees, handy around the camp, and useful for chopping fish and game.Nice balance, good steel (not great but good), interesting replaceable handle gives a secure grip, and great balance and good power on the stroke. My only minus is that I'd like to see a better sheath - the fit is poor so the hatchet rattles around in the boxy factory sheath, and the snap keeper that secures around the handle is cheap thin leather.I plan to make my own sheath out of Kydex and then this tool will be traveling with me often.

Versatile tool
I took this out almost right out of the box and put it to work. It was a joy to use. Great for de-limbing fallen trees and processing wood. Quite sharp out of the box. Its a bit heavy so, it wouldn't function well as a machete. It is even a bit heavy to wear on one's hip. However working around a stationary camp, fire wood processing this nata tool is great.I have no complaints.

my hand felt fine, and the blade still had an edge
have used this tool a little and so far I'm very impressed. after hours of use, there was little fatigue, my hand felt fine, and the blade still had an edge. I've only really used it to take branches off, and it goes through 1"-2" limbs like butter.there is a bit of a learning curve when it goes to using it, the beveled edge certainly has it's preferences on how it's used.because of the quality and ease of use this tool has, i'll be suggesting them to anyone I know who has a use for one and have been researching some of their saws. I vastly prefer using the Nata over carrying around loppers.10/10
