MINKA-AIRE F844-DRF Light Wave 52" Ceiling Fan with LED Lights & Remote, Driftwood

Especially love the dimmer and illumination of the light and fan direction/speeds on the remote! No reason to use a wall-mounted switch! This is a large room with an 8 foot ceiling that is so much more comfortable due to design of the blades! This is my 3rd Minka fan and I won't buy any other brand due to functionality and beauty!

We were so happy with the fan that we bought and installed a second one in another room. Both are extremely quiet (as in silent), and move air very well. The remote is really handy. We had an issue where one of the fans started turning itself on and off at random times and I almost wrote a bad review, but after searching the documentation I learned this can happen after a power outage - which is when our problem started. It was a pretty easy process to reset it using only the remote control, so I'm happy again.

The fan is smooth and quiet and puts out a lot of air. It was fairly easy to install and looks great. My only issue is with the remote control. My fan and light are controlled with separate wall switches, and my light switch is wire via 3-way so you can turn it on and off from either side of the room. There is no way to wire the ceiling fan and light through the remote using separate switches.

Unique, contemporary style. Great finish and color. This fan works!!! Fantastic air circulation, even on low setting. This fan is so perfect that I even bought an even larger one for the family room.

Update: now knocking noise on low. Keeps me awake at night. We will be taking it down and purchasing a better quality fan. Waste of money.Update: now there is a knocking sound on med or high speed. Buyer beware. (At this price I expected a better quality fan)This ceiling fan looks great. It’s exactly what I was looking for. Installation was easy and the unit is lightweight, which helped for install in our vaulted ceiling. So far my only complaint is the noise. On low speed it hums, med speed it hums louder, and on high even louder..along with a knocking sound on high. It is installed properly. For us, in our master bedroom we use a sound machine at night so it drowns out the humming noise, otherwise it would be sent back. It would make it hard to fall asleep for me. Remote works fine. Note: The fan only works with the remote included, our wall switches cannot operate this fan.

My husband had no issues installing this fan. He said the instructions aren't great, but he didn't really need them, because he's installed many other fans and this one was a standard installation. We love the modern style of this fan and how quiet it is. The light is nice, too. We have other lighting in our kitchen, so we don't need it to light up the whole room (it doesn't). It casts a generous spotlight on our kitchen dining nook without being too bright, so it's just right for our needs. The blades are plastic, but they don't look it up close or far away. The other components are metal and heavy. Again, this fan runs quietly.

This fan has a clean, modern look and quietly and efficiently circulates air through the room helping keep us cool and our bills low during an extended heat wave.The only downside is that the light doesn't dim very low and the dimming controls aren't very precise.

We had a ceiling fan working for one week when it started making rattling sounds. I contacted the seller, they replaced the motor part which did not look brand new when it arrived. Afterward, the fan was working noiselessly for about ten days. It has since been making humming sounds when in use which is irritating as I am a light sleeper and can hear it. My 2 messages to the seller have been completely ignored as they do not respond or honor the warranty.Very disappointed in the product and service - I believe a $700 ceiling fan merits better customer service!
