Poor quality
When I opened this up the entire book was sticky! The cover was covered in that sticky something and the pages stuck together. The corner was bent up and the front was also scratched up. There was significant wear to it.

A Beautiful Example of the Bias in Higher Education
It's hard not to expect leftist propaganda from something with a title like this. I had to rent this book for a sociology class and started with an open mind, but I was appalled by the inflammatory language used. There aren't many facts in this book, it's simply a radical feminist's (look her up) terrible evaluation/rant over modern media. I'll save you the trouble of buying this disappointment by summing it up: Capitalism is the root of all the evil in media and we should've listened to Karl Marx (because his theories have been proven so reliable in the past). Don't buy this if you can help it.

This edition features many recently published articles, definitely worth a look...
An excellent source for those interested in media. Many articles on recent productions. Provides insight into on-going discussions of gender, class, race and sexuality. A bit smaller in size than your traditional textbook, but a good size for a leisurely or focused study. Paper is a bit on the thin side, with a soft mat finish. A little on the expensive side, however, I believe Amazon.ca offers a student discount so take advantage of the lower price if you can.
