Coleman Pro Adjustable Nonslip ATV Thumb Assist

This is a difficult review for me. On one side it gets a 5 of 5 on another it gets a 1 of 5. I decided to give it the difference. The reason is...It works. I have bought these for all of our ATVs no more tired thumbs for me or my family. Yes it worked for all ATVs and our thumbs are thankful. It also is very easy to adjust. So why not a 5 of 5?.... because of hardware quality. The directions state to start with the middle screw, and I did that. However, in all cases the center screw had the exact same issue. The hole where the nut goes does not seem to be able to hold the nut in place. It just turns and turns. Also the screws are very soft. Do not try an electric screwdriver as you are just asking for the head to be chewed up, and when you use a regular screwdriver make sure it fits and fits exact. This is the rule of thumb with Philips head screws, but due to softer screws this is a must. Strengthen the center hole plastic and include better screws, and this product gets a 5.

These were easy to use and easy to install (if you follow the directions). They made a big difference in throttle control. These were especially helpful with my wife and kids because of the thumb fatigue they got from riding. I would have given 5 stars, but that would be perfect and there is always room for improvement, but these are almost there. If they could totally eliminate thumb fatigue, I'd give them 5 stars. Lastly, don't forget that these can bend so you can put your thumb where it is most comfortable and then bend (slowly) to the position you need it.

There are three different versions of this product that I have seen in recent years. It fastens securely and has fit on three different manufacturer's (Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha - sport and utility models) thumb throttle without issues. I have installed this version on 5 different ATVs. Even though a few dollars more expensive than the others, I prefer this version because the extension is bendable. You can put a gentle, forward curve on the extension so to easily operate the throttle with the palm of your hand when your thumb becomes numb/fatigued. I have also used the non-bendable version with the 3 screws (versus the slip-on type), and it works well to prevent numbness. I feel this one is worth the extra few dollars not only because of the adjustable aspect but it appears to be molded with greater quality/better materials.

good accessory. saw a few reviews that were non issues ; hard to bend fitting-warm it, fit screws, let sit overnight then put on atv. over or under reaction times on rough trails; bend paddle to fit. not a good fit? try to move control module to get correct fit/grip angle.I ride on VERY rough ditch banks all summer. I did find issues as above, but was able to make fixes. Good tool.

A big help because my right thumb was severed half off many years ago and this allows me to still operate my quad without to much difficulty. It allows me to still use my "stub" or my palm. So far I have been happy with the product.

I use my machine a lot on the trail systems of the Ocala National Forest in Florida. This is a must have product for those of us who do a lot of long trail riding. It takes the constant pressure of the throttle off of your thumb and prevents it from getting numb. In very cold weather, it helps prevent your thumb from freezing due to the cutting off of blood circulation.It was very easy to install, taking only a few minutes. The product is flexible and easy to adjust and once adjusted seems to hold it's shape.Great product, strongly recommend.

These aren't bad and have helped fatigue on my thumb. While it's not big enough to use my palm, I find the extension long enough that it takes less pressure to push and help my thumb feel much better for longer periods without the numbness. But over priced!

Would have been a 5, but the sealed package of hardware contains a nut that was the wrong size. Installed on my ATV, and it does take pressure off my arthritic thumbs. Good product except for the hardware issue.

Easy to install, about 2 min; however I found the extension is not anough, only give about an extra 1/2 inch extension
