ATP B-206 Automatic Transmission Filter Kit

I got this filter kit as it had decent reviews and I went in with an open mind about what I was going to receive and what was (or wasn't) going to work. The intended application was a 2000 Subaru Forester L (2.5L N/A).What was in the box:x1 Transmission Filterx1 GasketAs I had suspected the only thing that worked for me was the filter. It was an exact match to the OEM and was just a simple screen type filter.The gasket on the other hand, wasn't even a "Third Hand" type like advertised. Instead, I received a plain old crumpled up cork gasket that I didn't end up using as Subaru suggests to use Ultra Grey only. BTW, I used weights and books to try and re-shape the gasket so it was flat and even potentially usable. I ended up not using it though because it wasn't what is was supposed to be and it never properly flattened out. However, I would have used it as it IF it had been a third hand gasket like I thought I was getting.Overall, I probably would buy this filter again just because buying the kit the way it is, is still cheaper than going to the parts house and buying a OEM or other aftermarket type replacement.

The gasket did not fit my transmission pan (1999 Forester). The screen/filter seemed well made and fit. Anyway, the factory does not use a gasket. Permatex Ultra Gray works well for this application. Watch “MrSubaru 1387” for a good step-by-step guide.

Did a fluid change on my 1999 Subaru legacy outback recently, and the build quality of this product works better and feels more genuine than the Auto parts store brands that I've had two leaks around the gaskets before in 1year....so far this filter kit allows much smoother shifts and pressure build up on cold starts, short or long use on trips, 5k miles later no leaks,and oil quality is still good with transmission temps

Used this to replace factory RTV sealant and filter on my 2004 Subaru legacy outback along with Castrol ATF fluid. Removing the RTV from pan and transmission was the only painful thing about this replacement. Works very well so far with 1k miles in. No leaks and shifts feel much better than before!

I'm sure it's a good filter but I ordered it for a 2005 Baja Turbo and it said it would fit but it doesn't mine has 3 tabs for screws that hold it down and a pick up tube with an O ring,this one this one has bolt holes all around it and open screen on the otherside.

El papate vino todo doblado has el gasket viene muy doblado me gustaría que lo mandaran con más protección y no doblado porque el gasket es sensible y se dañar

I used this to service a 2002 Impreza TS Wagon with a 4EAT. Fit as expected and the gasket sealed!
