UPDATE 12/26/21: Got the new case today. I've fully charged it and it seems to be charging my Pixel 3. Happy now that customer service was so quick to respond (at during the mad holiday season rush, too!) Let's just hope this unit lasts longer than 2 months!UPDATE 12/24/21: Newdery's customer service answered my email here on Amazon and will send a replacement under warranty. Hope the new one works and lasts longer than this one that I got in October! :/Bought this back in the beginning of Oct 2021 to replace a similar battery case I bought two years ago for use on my Pixel 3. This case's battery now doesn't recharge when I connect it to a USB-C charger, which makes it just a big, heavy "case" for my phone. Contacted customer service via their contact here on Amazon and at the newdery.com website in order to get satisfaction under their "12-month satisfaction" warranty. Will update when I hear what they decide. Also, point to note: If you use this case, it basically cancels any functionality to the phone's USB-C port. It cannot be used to connect headphones. You can't connect your phone to any device (such as PC or a wireless mic or a credit-card mag-stripe reader) to share data. The case's USB-C port can only be used to recharge the case's battery and the phone's battery at the same time. If you want to transfer data from your phone to your PC with a USB-C cable (or for any other USB-C function other than charging), you have to remove the case and access the phone's USB-C port DIRECTLY. (Sort of inconvenient if you're a street venor using your phone all day to process customers' mobile credit card payments!)

I purchased this backup battery case for my Pixel 3, which has awful battery life. The shape and feel of the case is acceptable considering what it is - a backup battery. I wish it had some way to protect the screen as well, but it doesn't.I had to return one of these identical cases, but the replacement has been okay. I would NOT recommend taking the phone in and out of this case. You have to be very careful how you slide the phone in and out of the case, and it leaves too much room for causing issues with the connections. I think that is what happened with the first one I got.Another thing I want to mention is I have had issues with this case not wanting to fully charge the phone and the case overnight. Both cases I bought did the same thing, they would charge at night and I am guessing what is happening is the case and phone would fully charge and then just stop. When I wake up in the morning, it's all of course still plugged in, but the devices are no longer charging and the battery on the phone has been used up. Maybe it's an issue with my particular phone, I do not know for sure, but just thought I'd point that out. It has not been a huge issue for me because I usually wake up in the middle of the night anyway, so I just unplug and plug it back in again and it resumes charging back up.Overall I like the case and it was worth the price. It helps my crappy Pixel get through the day without charging it five million times.

I gifted this to my younger brother who owns a Pixel 3. He enjoyed using it until he noticed it wouldn't hold charge anymore. Reached out to the seller and was able to get a replacement unit. However, the same issue occurs (sometimes it would charge and other times it won't).Currently it's sitting on his desk collecting dust. He resorted to using an Anker power bank I got him for college.

It's good when it works. Currently, I am a couple days from my 1 year mark for this item. I don't know exactly when, but in the past week or so, this thing seems to have fried my pixel 3 and itself. My pixel 3 still charges on wireless charging, so I know it's not battery. The case no longer charges, and same goes for the PIxel when plugged in.I understand products fail, but jesus it's impossible to find contact for this company. I had to go through some random form of contact (like a "question about a order' BS) just to be able to send a message. At this point, I don't know if it's even going to be successful since I have to wait up to 2 days to hear back. If they take care of the product as in-warranty items shoudl be, then I'll live. If not, I'll update on here regardless. For now, best to avoid this company if you find at least a similar option.*Edit*I managed to get everything worked out with the company, so all in all it was great customer service... If you can get a hold of them. I wish they had a easier way to contact them. As for the phone, I got it taken care of by Google.A word of advice, any time you plug in a huge battery to your phone, you'll always risk this kind of issue. I say this because if you can find a company that will assure your phone in case of their defect, then definitely go with them. However, my experience says you won't find those kind of companies unless you're paying a premium price.To sum up, Newdery replaced the case for free under warranty. That was very nice. If it wasn't for Google's warranty, I probably would've been stuck with a dead phone.

I love the look (kind of like digital camo) and shape (I've gotten used to having this bulky case so it feels weird holding a naked phone) of this battery case.Easy to slip the case on and off, although you really don't have to take it off unless you need the USB C port for wired headphones.Battery holds enough juice to charge the phone fully about 2 times. I will usually charge the phone using the battery case around 30% to full, and on a day of heavy use I do this twice and the battery case shows 1 dot remaining.However after a year of every day use, something has caused the battery case to not want to charge unless I forcefully push in the charging cable. If I were to guess, I'd say some corrosion is causing a bad connection. Ive purchased this case twice and it has happened both times after about a year (I most recently purchased in May 2020, and it's almost July 2021). Unfortunately the manufacturer warranty is for 12 months, and I'm just outside that's window.This case is good enough that I'm actually considering buying it a 3rd time. But $40 per year for an extended battery gets to be quite expensive.

La recibí rápido. La funda encaja sin problemas y funciona tal cual indica la descripción.El grosor del móvil aumenta considerablemente, pero como yo la quiero para cuando viajo (para poder hacer fotos y no gastar la batería del móvil antes de llegar al hotel) no me supone problema llevarla en un bolsito o mochila junto al resto de trastos.No creo que sea un producto para el día a día porque resulta algo pesado e incómodo de llevar en bolsillo (mejor en mochila o bolso).La única pega que le pongo es que el conector USB de la funda es problemático de encajar/sacar, y cuando quieres quitarle/ponerle la funda al móvil, si no vas con cuidado y no sigues las indicaciones del producto, puedes acabar por romperlo tras muchos usos. Como es un accesorio que se pone al empezar el día y se quita al terminar (solo 2 usos, en teoría), si se hace con cuidado, no debe haber problemas. Ya veremos con el tiempo...Otra característica mejorable, los leds que indican el nivel de carga se podrían haber hecho más visibles/grandes. Están tan disimulados en la funda que solo se ven claramente desde cierta perspectiva. Pero no es realmente un problema importante, solo un detalle a mejorar.

Let me start by saying the case works at advertised. It fits the Pixel 3 (and AFAIK is one of the only ones that will) and charges it as expected. It benefits from USB-C passthrough too, but as I understand it (Haven't tried) it won''t work for USB-C headphones.I have been on a quest to find something similar to the much-loathed Iphone Battery Cased ever since I got the Pixel 3. Rather annoyingly this doesn't seem to cut it.- It's rather bulky, a lot more than expected.- Feel's slippery, combined with the difficulty of gripping the case on one hand, it will probably end up falling off your hands.- It has to be turned on/off to start charging. This is something I don't understand, but seems to be something that only Apple has been able to crack. What's the point of carrying additional battery connected at all times to your phone, if the phone won't be able to use it as part of its own and deplete the external one first (this could be an Android problem, I don't know, but it is silly regardless)And so my quest concludes here. Failed. Until someone can point me in the direction of a worthy candidate to be my battery case. In the meantime, I will keep carrying my trusted Anker power bank with me.

Il a fait le travail, mais ça ne permet pas de brancher les écouteurs du Pixel 3 ou rien qui utilise le transfert de données.Le boîtier fait le travail et j'ai de la place entre le cellulaire et le boîtier pour une ou deux cartes importante.Par contre, je commence à avoir des soucis avec pour charger mon cellulaire entre le boîtier et le cellulaire. Il est rarement débranché mais je dois le faire de plus en plus.En regardant la description on me dit que c'est garantie à vie (pour la vie utile du boîtier) et le support me dit que c'est 12 mois. Verdict : mauvaise traduction.On m'a offert 20% de rabais pour le racheter et 30 parce que je signale ce problème. Quand ça va bien, ça va bien mais quand ça va mal, l'option est de remplacerIls disent qu'ils regardent avec leurs technicien, mais je doute que ça mène où que ce soit..Honnêtement, j'aurais espérer par vie utile que ce soit similaire au cellulaire...

Bought it and returned the same day. It's a good case, fits very good, all cuts made precisely, a little bit bulky but what do you expect it's a battery case, but it would be nice if battery would be with a smaller capacity and case would be thinner. Why I actually returned it, it's because you cannot connect headphones or sync with a PC the case doesn't have that feature, only power, in order to listen to music you have to take phone off the case which was absolutely not convenient for me, I don't want something that I have to play with everytime I want to listen to music. Also when I received it the case was brand new, but, I found a hair and a little bit of some sort of greasy substance inside the case where you put your phone in (looks like it got the on the assembly line). Got refund with no issues.P.S. If I wouldn't need connectivity through the case, I would keep it

I ended up using this product to charge my phone while on the move rather than keeping it on day all the time, the case is easy to take on and off.Positives: the case is fast charge, you can also charge it without the phone so it is ready to slip on when needed. The case has led indicators to let you know how much charge is left. You can get over a full phone charge out of the case, and can turn the charging feature on and off when needed.Downsides: the case itself is rather chunky and adds quite a bit of weight to the phone but this is standard of all battery cases. you cannot use wired headphones while the case is on (this did not impact me as i use Bluetooth)Conclusion: I am planning on using this case much like a more convenient powerbank, I will take is on long trips and holiday etc where charging my phone would be difficult.
