Excellent Heavy-Duty Shelving
I love these Gorilla Racks. Over the years we've purchased and are still using around fifteen of them. We bought our first one in the mid-Nineties and it's still good as new. They are my go-to shelving in the garage, basement, and for my small business.I've had other racks before, some of which were more expensive than these, yet nothing comes close to the ease and durability that these provide for the price.Important Things to Know:1. Very easy to set up and take down. With a rubber mallet, setup time should be no more than 15 minutes for your first rack. After you get the swing of it, it should take half that time. It's so easy it's almost ridiculous.2. Extremely sturdy. It would be difficult to destroy these when they're properly set up. One thing to keep in mind is that the shelves are made of particle board. It's very beefy particle board, but it's still particle board. You don't want to drop them on their corners while setting up the racks, or get them too wet.3. Be aware of the floor you're putting these on. They're heavy and can easily scratch/gouge all sorts of different surfaces.Overall, this is a great product. Definitely worth every penny - they'll be around for the next 20+ years.

Solid, easy to put together
These are solid easy to put together shelves, I've used othe vendors versions of these kind of shelves, and they were less solid than these. The horizontal spars in particular are strong on these shelves, which I have found wanting on other vendors products.I like these enough that I bought two more. They are a little pricy compared to building your own racks, but these are so easy to assemble that if you don't have the time or expertise to build your own racks this is a good deal.

Great set of shelves
I bought this item recently for my work room. It is an excellent shelving unit. I had doubts when I was putting it together, but it has turned out to be and excellent piece of equipment. It was easy to put together. It is very sturdy. The second and fourth shelves are not fixed, so I can adjust them to suit my needs. It does not sway under heavy loads. I can also (and have) mount other items from the side supports. All in all, a very nice set of shelves. I will probably end up buying some more of these for additional utility rooms.

Great storage rack
Great storage rack for the price. Heavy metal construction and particle wood board shelves. Easy to put together, did it myself. Just lock in the tabs and push down. I loaded it up with a ton of stuff and no problems. Cheers, JUpdate: After settings up two of these I've changed my mind and am going back to the wire shelving I have used in the past. The problem with these, which my wife brought to my attention is that the shelf legs are in 2 pieces, top and bottom. Where they connect is a simple clip and if you put too many things on the top two shelves it will actually start to lean over, to my horror. Too dangerous in my mind. Back to the old standby wire shelves where the legs actually screw together. Cheers, J

Flimsy Imitation of sturdy Gorilla Rack.
Flimsy & lightweight. Gorilla Racks used to be sturdy. Don't waste you money. These are cheap imitations of what once was a good product.

Excellent Product - Quick Service from Amazon
I absolutely LOVE this shelving unit for my large garage - in fact I bought a second one and might even order a third. The 24 inch shelves are perfect for my plastic bins of "stuff". My son put the unit together quickly - he told me about the product, I ordered it from Amazon and received the unit in two days! They look attractive along the back wall with organized plastic bins stored on the sturdy shelves. I've only had them a short while and they are in a large detached garage that has no heat in winter - I don't expect any problems as they are well-built - they should last as long as I do!

Sturdy and easy to assemble
It took me about a half hour by myself to assemble with a block of wood (included) and a small kitchen hammer. The directions were just pictures no words.Make sure the shelf supports are right side up.Make sure the parts are properly aligned and then they are not hard to seat the buttons into the notches with light taps of the hammer.I broke two of the edge protectors trying to hammer them on. after that I put soapy water on the edge protectors and they slid right on. I had spare ones because I have my shelves stacked tall instead of side by each. The wood is made of glued sawdust. It is solid and smooth. The frame was easy to move when assembled before I put the shelves on. No worries of it falling apart while movingand it is stable even on carpet. no need to lean it against a wall or anything.I put 3 shelves on the top half so they are close together but it was still easy to slip the shelf down thru the top and put it in position in about 3 seconds for each shelf. If I live another 50 years I'm sure these shelves will outlast me.I have another gorilla shelf I bought 10 or fifteen years ago and I move every 2 to 4 years so I knew that this was a good brand easy to break down and move again. We painted that old shelf to protect from rain in the shed but the new one is in the garage and the wood seems to have a coating (the glue?) that will protect it. If I spill a glass of water and clean it right up I think it will be ok so we are not going to bother with painting these.
