at the price point, the following complaints are mostly pointless. I can recommend based on the price alone. The machining seems very good, and it had all I needed. Used in a 99 toyota.It gets HOT, so just be aware of that. not taking points off for that because... duh. If your seatbelt can burn you, then a black aluminum ball can burn you. Not their fault, because I wanted aluminum. just be aware and check how hot it is before summer midday drives.The only real complaint is the nut to tighten it. there are 2 nuts in the package. for my shifter I needed an adapter from my shifter to the thread inside the knob. that adapter is put into place with a steel nut that goes below it on the shifter. the adapter and nut are torqued together, and then the knob just screws onto the adapter as if it were the original shaft. The issue is the steel nut is totally visible after install. It just isn't as clean a solution as I might like. If the nut were black, it would probably not be an issue. everything else is black though and the nut is shiny metal (and not like an accent)

I’ve tried several aftermarket shifters and they usually always come with a plastic sleeve you put over the threads and then you drive three Allen screws into the plastic sleeve to mount it. This always results in coming loose and then the knob comes off while shifting.Thanks to these guys, I have a fully threaded shifter that will never come off while shifting. Best aftermarket shifters knob I’ve found so far. It’s solid metal too so it it really amazing.

There was no shift knob in package

I wanted an aftermarket shifter that was metal, small, looked nice, and a bit taller than a ball shifter. It fits my 05 Mustang GT nicely. I will no longer punch my touchscreen going into 3rd gear. Just note if you get a shifter for an s197 you will need a piece to hold your boot on. The only downside I can see from this is heat, but just throw a cloth over it when you leave the car. Don't give it a bad review or take a star away because you forgot metal in sunlight gets hot.
