I would recommend this Chuck
Excellent three jaw Chuck total measured run out is 2 thousandth of inch

Well made, needs cleanup, jaws a bit rough
All alignment surfaces seem true, but not a use-right-out-of-the-box item. Needs cleanup/filing/stoning of the edges in the chuck body, and running the jaws and bevel gears under a fine/light wire-wheel. Make sure jaws move smoothly in their own tracks before re-assembly and lubrication. The jaws' external work-holding faces are a bit rough, not for fine surfaces without padding.After mounting on a turned-in-place back-plate on my Taig 4500, the chuck has minimal run-out (+/- .001" - which is as good as the bearings in my headstock allow) and I'm very happy with the results.

Working as expected for a cheap chuck. Fit my 7 x 12 lathe fine.
