Kensington MP12 Magnetic Privacy Screen Compatible with 12" 2016/2017/2018 MacBook (K52900WW)

I had to have this for my grad school program. It does its job and I LOVE that I can take it off. Dont skimp and get a stick on cover because you'll definitely want to take it off. I wish it was a tad cheaper but its worth the money to have a magnetic screen cover since I was required to have one.

This product meets the described capabilities and functions to fullest. It doesn't try to mock features but rather stands on it's own strength. I'd recommend this product if you're looking to get the job done without spending too much time or money on it.

Upset

It really should be only 3 stars but this is by far the best option for a magnetic privacy screen.The Good:- It looks amazing- on the 15" MBP it is a perfect fit, it is nearly snug to the black rubber gasket that goes around the edge of the glass on the screen so it essentially aligns itself.- The magnet is strong enough, they could have made it a little slimmer, but overall it's not too bulky for me.- The option to flip it for a matte screen is perfect for working on the go and not having any control over the lighting situation.The Bad:- The notch for the webcam is not deep enough for the standard small sliding circle/oval track webcam cover... It's a privacy screen, and already being in the mindset for privacy it was a real missed opportunity for them to not buil-in a webcam cover, or at least consider one in the dimensions of it.- There is virtually no static cling so the bottom corners do not stick to the glass making the bottom corners blurry and sometimes if both corners don't stay down the blurriness covers about a half to one inch strip across the entire bottom of the screen. This also increases the risk of bending and creasing it when closing the lid (hopefully the warranty will cover a corner inevitably getting folded over). I have not had it very long, but this is so annoying that I can't see myself keeping this on all the time... Hopefully there is a sweet spot I just haven't found that will keep the bottom flush against the screen.
