It’s also a really cute story about kids getting their face painted. Review: Great reading add in for 1st grade math - I ordered this to go along with my first graders math lessons on counting coins. It’s a cute little book with a fun story line, that ties in learning along the way!

Great Book
The book was great a read. I love the concept of teaching kids how to identify coins and count. I love the colors that was used to illustrate the pictures. I also like that the author referenced additional books with similar concepts to read and the glossary at the end.

Great for all ages
My kindergarten students love this book. It shows them how to count money and how money is used. Also, saving to get what you want. This boom might be set for another level but kindergarten students understand it fine. I had a money counting activity that followed the reading

This book went perfect with my 2nd grade level counting money lesson during my student teaching. I was evaluated very high for incorporating literature in my math lesson. I couldn't be happier with my decision to purchase this book.

My son loves these math start books. This one is pretty good, it teaches counting out change. The only thing that I didn’t consider would be that the illustrations of the money are that of american currency. They also have pennies which is a bit outdated for our currency. My son is still enjoying the concept and the different looking money isn’t spoiling the overal lesson. This book is really well thought out and enjoyable to read.
