Stella D'oroBreakfast Treats - Original - 9 oz (Pack Of 3)

My Sicilian husband introduced me to these. He had them growing up in New York. They are wonderful with a cup of coffee or on their own. To me they have a slightly sweet taste of anise, but it is actually vanilla. They are a little crumbly in the middle, not chewy. The outside has a little subtle glaze on them. Not at all like a frosting, more like a wash. You get 12 cookies to a package. Each cookie has 80 calories. I don’t keep Kosher, but just noticed that the package says PAREVE. I have introduced these to many people and everyone has liked them, even the kids. I have found them much cheaper from another major retailer that has online presence as well, but I needed them to arrive by a certain date, so I actually ordered from both sources this time. They have always arrived fresh, with a decent expiration date a few months off, but around here they go fast once we open a package. Although I have found them in one retail chain market, these are hard to find in the store, but they can be sourced online. I hope if you buy them you enjoy them as much as we do.

These cookies always remind me of home -- my mother always had these on hand for people when they came over for coffee! The cookies arrived well with only 1 package having 1 or 2 broken cookies. Will buy again.

I love all Stella D’Oro cookies. I usually buy them in NJ because they are not sold in NC.Stella D’Oro you need to sell these at food stores in NC.

Biscuits were shipped in a bag instead of a box. Out of three packages of biscuits there were only 4 whole ones received. Ate them as pieces and crumbs. Nothing you could dunk in morning coffee. I was very disappointed as I hadn't been able to find these in the Texas Panhandle in years!

Biscuits are delicious. However, 2 of the 3 pkgs had a lot of broken pieces.Pkg should be better with delicate items like these. Was disappointed.Otherwise I would've given 5 stars.

I haven’t had these breakfast treats made by Stella D’oro since I was a kid. Most everything that I grew up enjoying just aren’t the same anymore, either in size, texture or taste. The exception are these wonderful breakfast treats. They are exactly as I remember them growing up on the east coast just outside of NYC. They arrived in perfect condition and we’re very well packaged. They are even the same original size they were back in the 70’s. (No shrinkflation here). If you haven’t ever tried these, you should. They are very satisfying with a cup of tea or coffee. Not too sweet and only 80 calories each. I highly recommend them. I don’t think that you will be disappointed.

THE BREAKFAST TREATS WERE ALL BROKEN AND I HAD A HARD TIME EATING THEM. THEY WERE STALE. AND STELLA D'DORO WOULD NOT MAKE GOOD ON THEM.
