Tragically snatching defeat from the jaws of victory
This product had such promise, being attractively formed from leather and moulded to the contours of the Kodak Ektra body. The case is a snug fit to the body of the phone. The case very effectively protects the phone and it can be separated so the phone can be used without the flip over section allowing full access to the screen. The included strap is also attractively made of leather and has two brass effect sprung carabiner type connectors, to attach it to the leather case.It all starts to go wrong here.1. The proximity sensor is covered so that it cannot detect your proximity when making a phone call or work with a light-meter app I downloaded to the phone.2. The headphone/microphone jack cannot be accessed and the location cannot be manually punched through as the strap fixing is in the way.3. The USB type -C charge and data port cannot be accessed when fitted to the case. If you use the phone regularly this would require you to remove the phone from the case on a daily basis. Also as with point 2 you would not be able to punch a hole yourself as the mounting d rings for the strap are (unnecessarily) in the way.I used this case for exactly 5 minutes when one of the pop fasteners detached from the case. When I looked it seemed that they were only just long enough and not well fixed to their mating counterpart.I was gutted that I could not modify this as I think it is so attractive and unique. Whoever was responsible for giving feedback on the case, clearly had no empathy to the phone user and probably didn't even bother to make the most basic of checks. This resulted in it being "signed off" for production in this unfinished state. I hope that idiot gets a real hair dryer of a conversation by Kodak. What a real shame.

Ektra Case
Like the retro look and does protect the Ektra but this case has some pretty basic design flaws, mainly there is no hole to charge the phone when it is in the case you have to take the phone out of the case and it is a tight fit also fiddley. The speaker is on the bump at the front of the camera there are no holes in the case so the sound is muffled when playing music, using loudspeaker,OK Google etc.Like I have said I do like the look and the case does make a statement and received many comments, for this reason I have only dropped one star.

Perfect Fit
Mega quality, thick well-crafted leather with beautiful chamois interior. It's a perfect fit for the Ektra and will probably out last the 'phone' which is actually much better than many reviewers say.

which is quite often as the battery life isn't brilliant. I paid £18 for it so it's not ...
It's made from that weird leather that's just a very, very thin layer stuck on to plastic. The interior is some kind of faux suede / chamois. There's no access to the charging slot when it's in the case which means you have to remove it when it needs charging, which is quite often as the battery life isn't brilliant.I paid £18 for it so it's not bad value - I'm just glad I didn't pay the full £40+ list price.
