Discontinued? Cannot get parts.
Update 2-10-2020: I was contacted by the seller offering a new set of crossbars or a refund. Upped the review from 3 stars to 4 stars for their interest in having satisfied customers. The bars fit great on the 2017 Forester. They do not fit as well on my 2020 Forester. There are gaps where the clamps contact the rails. There were no gaps on the 2017.Previous review:I installed these on my 2017 Forester and thought they were a great value. My 2017 Forester was totaled in an accident. I kept the bars but lost one of the rubber pads that are necessary to mount the bars on my new 2020 Forester. I went back and forth with the seller and the manufacturer, Yitamotor, for about a month trying to simply buy one of the rubber pads that I lost. (They are really easy to lose because they are not attached to the bars.) Suffice it to say that I failed to obtain a replacement part. So, today I figured I would just buy a new set of bars but on Amazon they are up in price fifteen dollars since I purchased them less than a year ago. So I went to the manufacturer's site to see what the price is there and the site says they are sold out. It looks like they are not going to sell these much longer and already cannot supply parts. So, buy these if you feel confident you will not need parts. Frankly with the new higher price I would have probably just bought the OEM Subaru bars. At least then if I need parts there is a company to stand behind the product.

Don't be put off by the low price!!
I found these for $80. on Amazon, some other Sellers were charging $120 for the identical item, just a different brand name. check the specs. They were easy to install once I fooled around with them before actually installing them. They are easily adjustable to add some extra length. I finished tightening them with a different allen wrench. We added two Thule kayak carriers to the rack and transported 2 kayaks 2 hours each way with no problem. I am VERY happy with this item. I feel we purchased a quality item at a bargain price and that makes me HAPPY!!! NOTE: I did put some gorilla tape over the crossbar adjustment screws as they face downward and wanted to be sure they wouldn't vibrate loose. I give them a 4.5 rating.

Easy enough to install. And sturdy!
Like others have mentioned these aren’t the easiest rails to install but I wouldn’t say it’s too difficult it just takes some time. If you follow the instructions it’s pretty straightforward but you do have to adjust the length of them to fit your Forester so make sure you expand all of the screws first. I didn’t use the wrench it came with but rather a screwdriver with the a hex bit. These feel secure and sturdy. If I can do it (33 yo female) anyone can!

They fit my forester fine and seem sturdy enough to last
The main thing I didn't like is the rubber pieces that keep it from scratching your roof rails kept falling off. Next time I will just tape them in place. Also you want to loosen all 6 screws before trying to install. You will need to adjust the length when you put it on the rails.

Look good, seem solid.
I bought these for my 2015 Subaru Crosstrek and here are a few pieces of advice: It took me about 20 minutes to figure out that the rubber inside cushions don't work on the Crosstrek, without them, they are a perfect fit. I don't plan on taking them off, but I suspect that if you put them on and take them off on a regular basis, you might scratch your rails. I guess the rubber cushions can be used on the Forester and maybe the Impreza. Secondly, the screws used to tighten the length are loose need to be tightened prior to installing them...........figure out the length and tighten them up with the allen wrench prior to installation. If you install them prior to doing this, it will take a little longer. I used the sunroof to get to them! :-)i BTW, I never got an allen wrench in the package, but no big deal, most people have multiple sets of allen wrenches lying around they never use. They look good and seem solid, we will see in the future how they work. The manufacturer might want to tailor the instruction manual to the vehicle to avoid some wasted time and head scratching.

Great product with the best customer service.
Bought 2 sets of the YATA Crossbars for my Subaru Crosstrek and Forester vehicles. The crossbars are as advertised, very strong/sturdy and look great. And customer service is second to none! This is why: I had difficulty with the installation of the first set because I removed the end pieces instead of unscrewing the bolt just enough to allow those end pieces to swivel into the proper installation position. In the process I stripped the brass threaded insert on one of the end pieces. I emailed YATA attaching a photo of the stripped end piece and requested to purchase a replacement. I received an email shortly thereafter indicating that they didn't have the end piece for separate replacement but would provide me with a new crossbar set at no cost, and that it would be here in 3 to 5 days! That's the best customer support anyone can expect. I will not hesitate to buy from this supplier again.

Does fit a 2019 crosstrek*
Took a chance on getting it for a 2019 crosstrek. It fits straight out of the box but sits a little off the rails. It seems that the rails for 2019 and up are a little thicker and the rubber blocks don't slide down all the way. We trimmed a little off the back side and not fit perfect. Half the price that dealer wanted.

Not a perfect fit for a 2019 Forester
I bought this item based on reviews and the description that said this would fit perfectly/was designed for a 2019 Forester. It’s not a perfect fit… no matter how hard you may try to push or extend the rack, there will be gaps with your crossbars. My set is noisy, even when driving local and not on highways.

ABS plastic broke
The plastic plate holding the cross bar to the roof rail broke. The plastic holds the nut in place to tighten but the metal nut has rounded the plastic so the nut free spins now. Why is there no contact the seller option?
