I wasn't going to review this radio until I found the 'proper' off mode. I was disappointed with the battery life until I discovered that long-pressing 'power off' puts it into Standby (display shows clock, etc), which drains the battery in a day. Long-pressing again shows 'Power Off' and...... no battery drain.

Neat little radio, perfect for the kitchen. Sounds good. Great difficulty working out how to preset programmes but discovered I was holding the button down too long. It only needs a tap. Delivery was 3 days earlier than expected

This is a cute little radio with a smooth rubber-feel case and well laid-out buttons, although the white fascia is a cheaper looking in real life than in the marketing photos. This radio is an ideal size for portability (it really is pocket-size), so great for travelling, but is not something that I would choose to use in the house.I was attracted to this model by the Sleep function, which is unusual on such a small and inexpensive radio. Another selling point for me was the flexible power arrangements. It comes with a mains power-supply and a rechargeable battery, and you can also use normal AAA batteries. However, the user manual is deficient in not explaining how to install the battery - you have to realise that there is a screw to be unscrewed before you can slide the battery-compartment door off. The switching-off arrangements are also not clear - a short button-press puts the unit on standby (which will deplete the battery) while a long button-press is required to switch off completely.The all-important sound quality of this unit was a real let-down. My purchase was influenced by reviews that claimed good sound from such a small unit. In practice, I find the sound very tinny and not an easy listen. However, the unit has a headphone socket and the sound through decent headphones is actually rather good, and in stereo!So, this radio is arguably very good value for money but I would only recommend it if you plan to do most of your listening through headphones.

Great quality sound, considering it is a small radio it's clear and well balanced. Comes well packaged with easy to change from a UK to an EU adapter on the bundled charger plug which is great if you want it for a hotel room abroad. The unit is covered in a rubberised type coating which makes it very easy to handle. The only downside I have found so far is that the back of the unit is black and heats up in sunlight through a window so if you want to keep it cool put it in the shade. The stated battery life (although not tested at time of writing) is good as my previous radio took 4 AA's which lasted 6 hours, so it will save me a lot of money.

I bought this to replace a Pure One radio. The Azatom is more robust with great sound quality, easy to set up & use. I can’t comment on battery life yet as only just purchased.

I love my itty bitty radio. I only have a small desk so it's small size is perfect (q-tip for scale). I also like the matte and rubbery feel to it. The sound quality is great and I love that it has scrolling text on the screen with the name of the song currently playing. It can also tell me what type of station I've selected, e.g. pop music, talk, classical etc. I can store up to 30 saved stations. It's easy to search and find stations as the name is displayed on the screen and they're in alphabetical order so I don't have to remember the frequency of what I'm looking for. I only wish the cable was slightly longer.

Love this little radio. Can't believe how good the sound is for such a little radio, not tinny at all like most small radios. Also easy to use once you get the hang of it. I will be buying another!

I bought this as a replacement for my Pure One Mini which sadly died.For the money - about 30% of what I paid for my Pure, including the recharged battery pack - I wasn’t expecting it to be great but I was very wrong!It’s a great little radio with surprisingly good sound quality. I specifically wanted a radio that is rechargeable, with good battery life between charges and this ticks both boxes.Very pleased!
