I like this is stainless, not aluminum. I also like the handle, which is easy to grip with arthritis. The one I had been using, I got from my grandmother and the blades were wire. This is much stronger and I can retire Grandma's old one.

I'm a senior and thought I needed a thumb rest. But I didn't. It works pretty well for my arthritic hand!

This is the finest dough blender I have ever seen. There are 5 cutting blades 5/8 of an inch apart and solid to the frame not welded or screwed on. The handle is a soft grip but also has finger grip in it and best of all has a thumb rest at the end to make it easy to eork the blender. I cant say enough about this unit, some one has finaly made some thing that will last like our Grandfathers did Years ago. You wont go wrong getting this one.

Over the years, I used a few dough blenders of this sort. Few are sturdy, so they break mid-use which could result in a needless injury and few have the thumb rest. This blender has both desired aspects! I find I use a “dough blender” for more things: mooshing up foods, doing a quick slice for hard boiled eggs…
