Excellent Value; Some Advice For Beginners
I love this glue gun; there aren't many other models that have two temperatures and a thin detail nozzle. I use hot glue extensively for my projects, and this is very reliable and easy to use. However, if you're using it more than two hours at a time, give it a break on low heat or leave it unplugged for about ten minutes; this will prevent it from overheating and burning the plastic on the inside. Overall, this is a great value, and is more safe and convenient than having two separate guns for low and high heat. It's comfortable to hold and I thought the stand was very convenient; it folds back to get into small spaces. Although you can dispense glue for up to 5 minutes after unplugging, I prefer to keep it plugged in while I'm working for my larger projects, since I use it very frequently (but always unplug it when you're done!).If you're inexperienced with glue guns:-Always use the right heat for your material; fabric, felt, florals, and paper have a low tolerance for heat, so low heat is better.-Everything bonds better on high heat; but be warned, it gets VERY hot. It will start smoking when used on more delicate materials and papers, so use caution; working with a fan nearby on a low/medium setting will help it cool faster. Always let glue cool for a few minutes before touching it; you could get second-degree burns if you touch while it is still hot.-Remember that if you're pressing pieces together, some of the glue will seep through felts and fabric, so always use a piece of cool metal or a thick piece of cardboard to press pieces together if you don't want to burn your fingers. I use an craft knife handle (no knife in) as a press; it won't stick to the metal after it's cooled, just be sure to pull it away sharply to prevent it from trailing on the end. If you want to cool your glue quickly or prevent it from sticking to your metal piece when you remove it, keep a bowl or cup of 1/2 water and 1/2 ice nearby and let the metal knife handle sit in it. It will get very cold; dry it throughly with a paper towel and after dispensing your glue, you can press it down to flatten the dab of glue and cool it at the same time.-If you get burned, never use milk or butter to sooth the burn; these relieve pain, but it will not let your skin heal; always use cool water and antibiotic/burn cream and bandaging.-Keep the area around your glue gun clear and never let the cord hang or sit where someone could trip over the cord or a child could pull it down or use it! Children could very easily burn themselves on the barrel or nozzle! Also keep away from pets!-Protect your surfaces and make cleanup easy: keep a couple pieces of paper or a small sheet of aluminum foil under your glue gun to catch drippings. It can come off fairly easy on plastic and metal tables, but may damage wood ones. I see a lot of people complain that it leaks glue out of the nozzle when not in use, but frankly, it's not a big deal. The hot glue is melted in the barrel and the tip is pointed down. I don't really see it as such an inconvenience, all you have to do is pull it up or rub the nozzle gently against the table. Never lay it on its side to prevent drippings.-"Fly-aways" are long, almost web-like pieces of glue that trail on after dispensing. You can help reduce these by briefly rubbing the nozzle near the spot you dispensed the glue or on a piece of paper or metal nearby; you can then pull it off easily after the glue dries (it will keep going if you pull while the dab is still hot).-If you're having trouble pushing the glue through with the trigger, it may not be hot enough. You can heat it quickly by setting it to high heat for a few minutes, then back to low heat for a little under one minute.

Wax seals made easy
I bought this to make wax seals for wedding favor packaging. It was so much easier than using a candle to melt the wax, and the seals came out great. I used the gun again to hot glue ribbon onto pine cones for Christmas tree ornaments. Heats up quickly and easy to use.

GARBAGE! Glue overflows on wrong end!
I should have known better than to go cheap. You get what you pay for should always be considered. I've owned so many glue guns and due to moving and misplacing things, I had to buy another. Plugged it in, loaded the glue sticks, tried both high and low temperature settings and it would not come out of the nozzle. It was getting hot to the touch, but even after putting in almost 4 glue sticks as instructions said, all the hot glue just started overflowing from the back end. Not sure how it could clog seeing it's brand new. Unfortunately have to throw away money on this garbage. Now I have to find a good one from a reputable seller.

Best Glue Gun EVER ... Two Glue Guns in one !! (n_n)
There's so many negative comments about this glue gun that after my husband bought me this as an early Christmas present for my Christmas crafting I knew I had to try to clear up the bad reviews this glue gun has been getting. I do admit that I did a double take on this gun before. I thought that cordless meant it's battery powered and I don't want to always need to stock batteries to use my glue gun. But when I found out it's got a cord but can be cordless if you need to it changed my mind and I got the glue gun.It heated up very quickly which I was happy about as I wanted to get right to work. I had no issues with any dripping while it wasn't being used. For those who reviewed about the glue chamber backing up ... you were most likely using the wrong glue stick. The instructions do advise you to use the Ad-Tech Full glue sticks. With my old glue gun I was always having to add another glue sticks because they ran out so quickly. So I purchased the long Ad-Tech Full Size Multi-Temp 10" x .44" sticks and they worked perfectly. The instructions also suggest that you not leave the glue gun on for more than 2 hrs. without using it. So my suggestion with that is just go cordless. Pull out the cord if you're not going to use the glue gun right away then plug it back in when you're ready but keep in mind you have to wait the 2-3 minutes for it to heat up after you've plugged it in. It's alot easier than completely unplugging from the outlet and plugging it back in.Overall this is a great glue gun which I would recommend to ALL crafters as it's Dual-temp so it can work for ALL your crafting needs. High for your heavy duty jobs and Low for things like scrapbooking, ribbons, and fabric work. These Ad-Tech glue sticks start out clear as water when coming out from the glue gun but once completely cooled they do cloud up just a tad but I attempted to make a glue gun faux resin cabochon and it came out alright. You might wanna add glitter or something to offset the slight cloudiness it get's when it completely cools. But don't give this glue gun a bad review when it deserves a good review. So in short ...PROs : Heats Up Quickly - Precision Nozzle makes the glue output a little neater and easier to adjust how much you squeeze out - Easy to hold and useCONs : The plug connection is kinda in a bad spot that the glue gun tips over sometimes.MUST-DO SUGGESTIONs : Buy Ad-Tech ONLY Full Size Glue Sticks in Multi-Temp "I suggest buying the 10" x .44" length" - Go Cordless if you're not going to be using the Glue Gun right away to prevent glue backing up - I put a 2 liter Soda bottle cap under the nozzle to catch any dripping if it drips *which I didn't have that issue* - Buy a Hot Glue gun mat/Tools the glue output is very hot to the touch.
