CHICKENS Love it!
Bought thisfor a friend who lives on an acre in TN with 7 chickens, when she lets them get out of there chicken coop-run for forging daily .She shakes the bag and uses this “crack” to call them in and they come flying in. They LOVE it. She uses very little daily as it’s a little costly, but a great little treat! Would buy again!

I really like that Treats for Chickens provided an organic option
***Check out the manufacturer's site for free samples.***First off, let me say that this review is based off my chickens and their preferences. Your feathered friends may have different opinions, so if you want to take a shot with this treat, go for it.My Eight Ladies' Opinion:Fermented organic Scratch and Peck feed beats this mix any day. Except for maybe the mealworm part - those are the real prize of this mix.My Opinion:I really like that Treats for Chickens provided an organic option, as I'm trying to keep my ladies as organically fed as possible. The mixture itself looks pretty well composed for treating chickens. I was happy to see a good number of mealworms in the mix. I did see a few of the shrimp (they are comparable to the mealworm in size) too. Those two items were more sought after than the cracked corn, as were the sunflower seeds.I'm down to about half a bag, over the course of a month, so it lasted longer than I thought it would. However, at $20 a bag, I'm not sure I'll be buying again. Plus, had I know that fermented feed was so popular with my chickens, I probably wouldn't have tried this. You might be better off finding a specific food item that the chickens go crazy for instead of a mix - if you want to invest the time in finding that out.If you are going to try some Chicken Crack, Treats for Chickens has the bag for about $5 less, but you'll have to pay shipping. If you are using their site, it is actually about a cent cheaper to get the 1lb 13oz bag than the 5lb bag. You can also get free samples.*Quick Note: Make sure the bag is closed tight - otherwise you could have a nasty fire ant surprise when you go to grab some treats.*

Chicks love it!
It works as intended, its literal crack for the chooks. They've learned when I have this in the scoop vs regular 40 lb bags of scratch, but in my opinion you could also just buy that bag of scratch and mix in a bag of meal worms and it would be just about the same, but you'd have 45 lbs of scratch that is just about the same from whats in the bag. It is nice knowing it is a women owned company though, so will probably buy a couple bags here and there just to support them.

Chickens like it but expensive
The corn vs other stuff ratio is off for how much it costs. A lot of corn very little shrimp.

Chickens go crazy for this
My chickens go wild crazy for this snack. Only 4 stars though as it is expensive for how much you get.

Our chickens love this! Great for getting the chickens into the run!
Everyday I am amazed how much our chickens enjoy this treat! We use it to help us get the chickens back into the run when they are free-ranging and we want them inside. We shake the bag and they will come running. It is hilarious to watch! We like that it is organic too. It's a little pricey, but well worth the extra expense.

Caution: Highly addictive for chicks!
This product is expensive, like real crack. But it is worth it. My chickens literally pop up 3 feet into the air when they see the yellow bucket I am carrying. It is a mixture of dried worms, cracked corn, sunflower seeds and other dried morsels. The chicks like the worms best but after they eat them, the girls work on the rest until it is gone. When my flock is noisy, I give them some Crack and they shut up while they get busy devouring it and then calm down. Due to the high price, I do "thin" it down with dried mealy worms I buy at the supermarket. The five pound bucket does last a long time, if this is used for a treat only. Because I really only give it as a treat, it has not affected the chick's appetite for their laying mash. Your chickens will love this, I can assure you.
