Product was as described *except* that it was pretty seriously crushed during shipping. It's soft aluminum and so easy enough to straighten out such that there is no functional impairment, but it's definitely not cosmetically perfect. IMHO it's nearly impossible to ship this kind of thing without damage, but they should at least ship these in tubes instead of boxes, and especially not ship it with other items. If this component will be visible in your application I recommend buying locally because I've seen this kind of damage even in the local shops and you'll need to inspect each item to find a pristine one.

This was completed crushed and mangled when I got it. Whoever packed it, packed it when heavy tools in the same box and I live rural off a very rough road. I can’t use it for its intended purpose because it’s too compromised. With that said, I’m still impressed it held up even as much as it did and so I’m sure I’ll find a use for the material at some point. But right now it looks like a wrinkled, flattened Piece of tinfoil.

The product itself does the job and was able to handle the 700cfm air flow I was pushing through it but once you cut it it will start to unravel very easily and that was my main issue with it. I ended up having to keep cutting off sections as it would start to unravel as I was putting it on my duct.As for cutting it that was easy it cut with with a pair of kitchen scissors and a pair of side cutters, if your going to be using the full length and not making any cuts then this product would actually work well

Worked well for install of range hood. Easier than trying to make many angles with rigid pipe

Works as expected. Did not need to cut the length down, so no issues of unraveling. Seems sturdy and suited for the kitchen exhaust going to the roof.

This may work for you, but I found when hooking up an ERV that it was hard to connect, would come apart at the seams when I didn't want it to, and would not make as tight of turns as I envisioned it being capable of doing.I ended up using standard insulated flexible duct in 2 of the 3 places I planned to use this.

bendable but crushes easly

This was exactly as advertised and stretched out to full length with no problems whatsoever. Handle any aluminum flex duct with care.
