Hunter 83002 Sona Decorative Bathroom Ventilation Exhaust Fan Night-Light, Vent Fan, Fan, Imperial Bronze

This is a really nice looking bathroom fan light. I read a lot of the reviews and was prepared to possibly be disappointed, but thats not the case. Its really great. I did have a tough time putting it in, but only because of how my previous fan light was installed, which was secured only one side as there is only one nearby joist. This light is BIG and HEAVY, so I had to jerry rig it using some 10inch long deck screws to attach it on the other side. But, after that installation wasnt that bad. The fan is so quiet, and when I stand under it I can actually feel it moving air. Some people complained that theres not enough light. I will say the light shade is practically white, so its not as bright as it could be. If this is your main light you might have a hard time with makeup and such as its not a bright natural light by itself. We have lights in addition to this one, so its no biggy. And I found the nightlight feature to be really lovely. Its a nice soft light at night. So far no negatives.

This a lovely fan/light combo, but the glass shade really blocks the light. I have two 60W equivalent LED bulbs in it, and the light effect is too dim. It’s Installed in my half bath so that’s okay, but if I was using it to put on make-up (for example), the light would be too dim. Also due to the shade being glass, it is very heavy when installing. Definitely a two-person job.That said, it is pretty and the fan works quite well!

This light fan combo was failry easy to install following directions. It was easy to wire and assemble. I wish it came with a cable clamp though so I didn’t have to make a separate trip to the hardware store to buy a 50 cent part. It looks amazing and functions great with the optional night light. Bulbs not included so make sure you read the box and grab them. The glass is super thick and makes the bulbs very dim so I went up on the lumens when picking bulbs.

Installed it without too much trouble but the mark on the side for the drywall is off in my opinion. Once I installed it I could see the 1/2 inch line but my drywall wont fit. I would install to the 5/8 line for 1/2 inch drywall. I was expecting it to be much louder for being 3.0 sones but it is decently quiet. Overall it looks much better then the tacky looking fans usually found in a bathroom. I'll buy something like this for the other 2 bathrooms that need work soon. I do agree with the others in that the light is fairly dull because of the thick glass (pro: the glass is thick and durable). I would suggest another source of light as well.

Installed in bathroom where a previous fan worked properly but there was not sufficient light at that end of the bathroom. It felt like you were taking a shower in a cave. An amateur handyman (not an electrician) easily installed it and it is gorgeous. Matches the prior décor in the room and adds much more light. Very quiet. I felt it was a bit expensive and bought it because it matched my décor. Since then, I have noted the prices of less attractive fixtures and found that this light was a reasonable price after all, even less expensive than other less attractive models. I am very happy with it.

Yes it looks nice. I installed 2 of these in my bathroom since it is rather large. Using only 1 just doesn't take all the steam out. It's not as quiet as they make it out to be. Easy installation. Instructions are pretty clear but.... every other month at the most I take the glass down to clean it and after 8 months of being installed the whole carriage that holds the lights and mounts to the box in the ceiling is rusted. The part of the glass that "hooks" to this carriage is rusted. So at best I'm gonna get 2 years out of this before it starts falling apart. Don't waste your money. The quality is extremely lacking. It should have at the least been coated in a rust proof paint since it is designed for a bathroom. I have not noticed any rust on the outside but what's the point if the inside is going to rust all to hell. Very disappointing to say the least. I have had several models in various houses I've owned and this is the first to rust.

I LOVE this light/fan combo. I was afraid it would be too big for our smaller bathroom, but it looks really good/not too industrial. I was also surprised at how quiet it is for the size. It's meant for a larger space, has a larger CFM rating, etc. so I assumed it'd be louder. We didn't hook up the night light feature in our bathroom, so I can't speak to that part of it, but if the wiring is there to accommodate it, I think that would be a really cool feature and no more difficult to hook up than the rest of the electrical. Overall, I'm super impressed.
