I went through SEVEN different collars trying to find a collar that would fit and be effective on our border collie puppy. We had cute nylon web ones where the nylon martingale did not tighten then release in a way that delivered any kind message to the puppy. We went through several that just didn't fit. What do I love about this one by Mighty Paw? EVERYTHING. The leather is classy. It's both rugged and supple -- a good quality material that looks really handsome on him. The fit is great. The chain martingale does exactly what a martingale is meant to do -- briefly tightens to communicate to the dog, but smoothly releases as intended. It's allowed our border collie to be much more responsive in training, and the leather is comfortable for him. I highly recommend this collar. We'll be back for the next size up if he outgrows it, and I would definitely buy other products from this line.

This collar is awesome. I initially bought it because I loved the concept of leather mixed with a metal chain. It's a very classy and stylish look. Plus it's an extremely well built product. I bought this in May of 2019 and it still looks almost new. We've been on roadtrips, countless hikes, camping trips, mountain bike rides and kayak adventures (yeah I trained my dog to sit on the kayak and it's as awesome as it sounds haha.) These days I don't really clip a leash to it all too often. Maybe if I'm just taking the dog out late at night or early before work just for a quick walk. But on nearly every walk I use a harness. Whether it be a normal walking harness, a life jacket harness or a backpacking harness with pockets to carry items. Most of the time it just lives on his neck and if I need to take control of him by hand for whatever reason, just grab the collar. It seriously looks almost brand new. The leather has worn in very nicely and for $20 I'm shocked at how well it still functions and looks. The only thing is a couple months ago, the leather strap that holds the excess strap length in place broke off. It still doesn't flop around much without it so I haven't even replaced it yet. Was looking around at other dog products and came across this collar. Which reminded me to check just how long ago I bought it. Outside of that leather strap breaking, I haven't even really thought about this collar in ages. Which given it's purpose is a very very good thing. It does it's job with no fuss. My dog also loves it. If I take it off he always stares at it and wants to smell it. Almost like he's sad and wants his chain back lol. Really this is one of the best buys you could ever make. It's really hard to find anything of quality for $20 anymore and this item nails it. Kudos Might Paw. I may have to check into other products in your lineup.

Very happy with this purchase. I usually buy equipment for working dogs from companies that sell specifically for that purpose. But the martingale collar I was using had a D ring that was separating and had to constantly be pushed back together. That weakens the metal and I knew it would fail and let the collar slip off. Not good with a big strong working dog. Wasn’t familiar with this company and had doubts of the quality when I ordered it. But it is extremely well made! Nice thick soft leather with heavy rivets that hold a solid D ring in place. Great quality chain too. Works perfectly on my Shepherd and it definitely looks promising to hold up.

I absolutely love this collar. It fits my dog great and seems sturdy. I have a Siberian Husky, so a collar he can't back out of is a must. I do wish there was a little overlap in the sizes. He is in a medium right now but is at the threshold of needing the large. The only reason I have 4 stars, is I would like a separate d ring to attach his tag or to be able to use this as a flat collar.

I really like this style of collar especially with the leather as it seems much more gentle of a correction than with just a choke chain. Also I feel the leather collar as opposed to synthetic materials is more comfortable for Champ as well as it doesn’t catch her fluffy kinks, and altogether better feeling on the skin. She responds to it immediately. Of course she’s a very smart little girl, but the martingale collar is effective. Easy to slip it on and off.

Game changer!! I have been struggling with finding a dog collar that my dog cant escape from. Now I have. My dog's whole attitude had change because now they cant pull and wiggle out the collar. The quality of the leather and chain is top notch. So much so that I bought a other one for my other dog. I assume it's comfortable because normally I would take their collar off in the house. Now they keep it on....love it!!

This collar is great! The leather can handle the water and daily use from your pup. The martingale style helps prevent pulling and can help you correct your pup.

Love the soft leather! Be careful when you size it. I had to punch additional holes as it was too big. All in all it’s a good product. Not really a training collar but good as an everyday collar
