Bessel 60 x 40 cm Softbox with Double Diffusers and 4 cm Honeycomb Grid for S/Bowens Fit Lamps - Silver

Firstly my order arrived on the expected date. Packing was of good standard for what the product is, no unnecessary packing. I found it strange that the poles were not in the kit bag itself but just inside the box but anyway, I open the kit bag, took out everything and began to set it up, its not my first stripbox so no manual was required but what I notice next after inserting all the poles was something did not look right.1. The strip box was crooked on a flat surface when looking over it, did not look like a rectangle at all. (See photo)2. It was also leaning to one side when in an upright position next to cardboard box in an upright position.3. When laid flat on its face you can see how uneven it is, represented by the space where my phone is sitting flat underneath the edge. Two phones could easily fit under it but used only one.I did not bother to fit any of the diffusers after seeing those issues. I then disassembly the product to find on me first and only attempt of fitting the stripbox some other issues4. Two of the poles bent, once slightly more than the other.5. The rod with the ball head was slightly longer, could this be the reason for the crooked look?So packed every back now and was about to place the Pole rods in the bag and found; .6. The bag was ripped because my poles went straight through.My conclusion based on the average rating on amazon is that I received a bad copy of this product. Pixapro is my go-to for my photography products but they did not have the 22x90 strip box and 4cm grid.

I underestimated the shear size of this beast, its humungous. unfortunately through no fault of the product I have had to return it as its far too large for my little home studio. it comes well packaged and although no instructions are provided its relatively straight forward to assemble without any wrestling about on the floor, the rods flex nicely allowing ease of assembly and the whole thing is a nice piece of equipment once put together. You will need some good stable lighting stands with sandbags as this is quite heavy and will tip unsecured stands if care is not taken. Only down side is amazons return on this as its Hermes pick up only which is very inconvenient.

Ordered this via Amazon Warehouse deal so got it for £33. Was not aware that it would be anything different if bought as New. All parts were there with no damage evident. The item...It is as described a 90cm trip box that I intend to use with my interfit 150's (EL fit) for jewellery photography.Includes a fabric strip box with velcro air vents, a white cover, internal diffuser, 4x rods, a fabric grid, a speed ring for EL, instructions and a carry bag.The white cover and grid are both velcro-style and it is deep enough to accomodate both.Assembly is easy enough, or you could follow the instructions.. Fits securely into the flash head and does what it's supposed to do.Will be keeping my eye out for any more on deals.

I am a massive fan of Bessel and have been recommending their products to my friends. However this softbox was a major letdown. The 4 rods are each made up of 2 pieces held together by a collar that the two halves slot into. Two I received had enough room for a friend and the rods just kept falling out and 2 were so tight that it took myself and a friend to pull one of them apart and the other is being returned to Amazon still assembled as we just could not split the two halves of the rod. Something has gone wrong with the QC on the product as the faults made it impossible to assemble.I am returning it to amazon and have ordered the smaller version which Bessel tell me uses a single solid rod.

Bought one of these, then soon after I purchased a second. I am very pleased with them. They smell a bit at first, but this goes after about 2 weeks. They also add about 800k to the colour temp with both diffusers in place. The diffusers are 'whiter than white'. As far as I am aware this is par for the course at this price and easily adjusted with post white balance or in camera white balance. The main requirement was that they are both identical (and they are). I will stick with Bessel​ now if I need any more. The honeycomb grid is very useful, deeper than others I have seen and works well for such a basic addition.

I already have the larger one of these and a 95cm its as I really like bessel products.It is truly a pain to assemble, springing the rods into place being the main problem but it needs to be strong and once assembled it feels sturdy.If I was constantly having to pack it away I would maybe look at other products but for me it stays assembled in a corner of the studio.

Overall quality seems fine - only gripe is assembly - instructions not good, holes for poles awkward to access and definitely nail breakers when constructing - would have been nice if they where collapsable once constructed but can't complain for the money.

Great piece of kit for the price, this is a must for anyone wanting to do art nude and other types of full length photos, I use on Bowens 200w set and it is brill, I got some great shots using this, unfortunately none appropriate to post on Amazon. The quality is good all in all, the crate is a little flimsy but it takes 10 mins to set up and put away and does the job just as much as something 2-3 times the cost
