Skylanders Giants Official Strategy Guide Paperback – October 21, 2012

This book is a very well put together reference and strategy guide.All the characters (including the original Skylanders Spyros Adventure characters) have 2 pages of information on their history, strengths and weaknesses as well as on their upgrades and quests. All the items in the games are explained and covered and each level (chapter), including the various adventure packs is explained with a detailed map, and lists of enemies in that particular chapter, all treasures and items to be found, all the hidden areas and even the sequences for the locks.Helpful information is given on how best to defeat enemies and to which path should be taken first.ONLY use this book though if you just can't seem to find a certain object or hidden area, or it may actually make the entire Skylanders game a bit boring as it takes away a certain challenging element.The stickers in the back of the book are a nice bonus, especially since you can use some of them to designate found soul gems in the various chapters.Our 6 year old son loves this book as a reference on all the characters and to find the few hidden areas he hasn't found yet.A must have for the true Skylanders (Giants) fan.

I got this to add to my skylander collection that I just refound after 10 years, just as cool as I remember tbh

If you are someone that wants to complete every accomplishment the game has to offer, this book has the information you need. However, much of the game can be completed if you just play it and rummage around. There are only a few items you.have to get where the task(s) required are not intuitive. The book is useful no doubt, and at the discounted price on Amazon worthwhile, but I wouldn't pay full price for it.

I don't know much about Skylanders, however, our 8 year old is a fanatic and an expert at this game. Per him, this book is great and tells everything you need to know about navigating the game. It lists all of the Skylanders Giants characters and gives brief info on each as well as their stats and strategy on how to play them and level them up. It also list the enemies you'll be fighting and how to defeat them. There's a break down of the levels, maps, where to go, what to do and the items you need to find. All of which is accompanied with pics to help you out on your quests.I flipped through the book and it seems well done. The pictures are super cool. No complaints here! We have an extremely happy kiddo!!!

this book has been read, and re read many many times, I myself don't actually play the game so haven't read this but I am assured the book is helpful and very awesome !! well worth the money and the stickers are a cute extra : )

I gave this to my 9-year old grandson for part of his Christmas. He was very excited when he opened it. He is smart and a good reader so I hope it turns out to be interesting and helpful for him. It is a rather thick book with lots of words and probably a higher reading level, but he loves all things SKYLANDERS and I'm sure he will at least enjoy the pictures. I got a much better price on this book from Amazon than offered at Wal-Mart. I would recommend it for anyone who enjoys Skylanders and wants to learn more about them.

I got this for my daughter who is really into Skylanders Giants. She loved the book, it completely met her expectations. Her little brother liked it just as much, and my husband even got into it! Great for learning the different giants and what they can do.

I don't own anything Skylanders, but now I do! But the only thing is that the text is small. So reading it takes time. This book is really informational. It tells you the soul gem, all the upgrades, and all the Skylanders, all the Giants, and all the enemies. This is an awesome book.
