I obviously bought something completely different to other reviewers because this mesh is terrible.i have a 8week old Yorkshire terrier who admittedly is a bit of a rogue. It will not keep him safe in the garden for long and I dare not leave him alone. It’s a awful waste of £7.00 absolutely not worth it. I have adapted it by running a bamboo cane through the bottom channel and light rope through the top. This makes it more ridged so it may resist being ripped to shreds until the weekend. In the description it mentions uses to protect children, OMG!!!! Please don’t buy this to protect your child, it is not safe for that.Edit I posted this review 3/6/2019 it’s now the 5th the elastic loop broke last night and the mesh is sagging in the middle. Only buy if you don’t have a puppy and your dog is very well trained, but then you wouldn’t need it.

It is supposedly size-adjustable but it isn't! The only way that I could see to resize it was to roll up one side and that didn't work either. It is supposed to have "rubber bumpers" according to the leaflet that comes with it (by the way - instructions would actually be useful, just saying), but it doesn't. The dog just walked over it because there is no way to 'pressure mount' it! I am returning it, but can't return the hooks because they are firmly stuck to the door frame and it is going to damage it when I remove them, so that's anther inaccuracy in the advertising. Seems to me that all of the reviews, bar one, of this product should tell you to either improve it or remove it from sale because it is not fit for purpose.

I have just got a dog and did not want to restrict her with a pen, as I want her to become part of the family as quickly and easily as possible. This will allow me to introduce her to the home gently and not be an intrusive obstruction in the living room. Easy to use and very effective. No damage to doorway

Probably very good if you have a well trained dog, but useless for keeping kittens in! The standard sticky pads on the hooks are useless and I've had to replace with double sided Gorilla tape. Also had to stick bottom edge to floor with same tape and the top loops on this will break if any substantial weight is put on them, ie; a kitten, so I've now had to use bits of wire, to hold it onto the hooks! Will be glad when we can let them out at 6 months old!

This has to be the absolue worst product I have ever wasted money on. It doesn't stay in place, it's flimsy and when you try to wind it round the pole to make it shorter, it just collapses into itself.. . DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. It won't hold anything back, because the sticky hooks just fall off if a dog sniffs at the mesh .!!

Utter rubbish. It’s basically a net curtain that’s the length of a tall door so I’ve no idea where they think it’s suitable for. The books they provide ping off the wall at the first breath of wind and it’s not once managed to keep the elderly dog contained never mind one with any Komodo left. Waste of money

It’s good for what we wanted, as it was to block a landing/stairway gaps, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a stair gate alternative.

Went for this as it was a cheaper option than other products and you can tell by the feel and the quality but it was very easy to put in place, the sticky hooks are really good and it is effective. A determined puppy could probably chew through it fairly easily but good to just cordon off an area for a puppy without needing to close the door or buy a stair gate especially for an area wider than your average stair gate. There is no stretch in it other than the elasticated loops in 4 corners and the poles go into the short, vertical sides.
