Crystal clear back slightly opaque edges.
This was crystal clear back as promised, and though the sides are opaque, it is not very and you can still see your fingers behind them. The button covers work fine too.I bought some screen covers from a different company which were guaranteed to not interfere with care but see the reason is they leave part of screen uncovered, so this is something to bear in mind.I think I will chance it and leave it as is and just hope the generous raised edge means if dropped vthwt no chance of the very teeny bit of unprotected screen gets a hit.All in all a beautiful pixel 3xl back and edge protector which as want cheap hopefully will last well and not yellow or crack. I shall add comments if it does have any issues but as only had this less than a week too early now to comment on longevity or durability.

That colour and great protection. Thumbs up!
Can’t fault this case. I’ve had it well over a year. I throw it about over terrible surfaces. Well.. drop it. But I’m not precious with my phone I mean. It has numerous bounced down mountain faces. But I’d argue that’s probably due to this case. Between the screen protector and this case - my phone looks brand new still. Case looks good. Has subtle nicks in the rubber portions. Light scuffs in the hard plastic. But I was reading references whilst repairing the cars bearing the other Day. Case was completely black from grease etc. Cleaned up lovely. But mostly. The colour brightens my day!

Very hard wearing
I’m writing this review after three months, when i first got this case i felt it looked a bit cheaper than in the pictures. The plastic is fairly hard and inflexible, which makes it harder to put on and take off. The rubber around the front can discolour easily and look dirty. Overall i thought it was fine, but nothing special. That was until today! I accidentally dropped my iphone x from a second floor window. AND ITS COMPLETELY FINE!! Phone has survived with everything in working order, there is a fair dent to the case and my screen protector gas lifted in the corner. But would definitely recommend.

Great protection without a huge increase in size
Phone feels protected and has come away from a few drops without a mark however the case does make the iPhone XS feel quite chunky, a pay off for me that’s worth the protection. The yellow rubber around the screen side of the case has discoloured slightly due to dark jeans.

Great phone case
The second OtterBox case I’ve owned and it does not disappoint. If your clumsy or are worried about dropping your phone then purchase one of these, they are worth the investment. I’d rather pay a bit more for a case than have to have a screen replacement. Dropped my phone a few times and the screen is still as new.

Backing design peeled off (Grey)
It's a sturdy case and I have no doubt that my phone would be protected if I dropped it. My partner has a standard black one for the iPhone 8; looks grand, functions well.I opted to buy the grey for the XR. Out the box, the backing with the design was peeling at the edge. It is a wafer-thin moulded piece of plastic veneer glued (poorly) to the back of the case.If you're dead set on an OtterBox just get the standard black one. Or if you can verify that the other cases don't have plastic veneers then by all means go for it. This grey one though was not up to scratch and smack of lazy design and sub par quality checks.

Very high quality
Came recommended from a work colleague. Great product and great protection. Dropped it on a night out a few times and it held up 😅 get a screen protector and it would be perfect. Camera quality is not harmed by this case and makes the pearlescent back look good.

Grubby looking after a short time
Overall this is a safe, durable cover however the downsize is how easy the rubber part attracts dirt and very quickly looks grubby. Not even 3 months old and mostly in pocket or purse where it had its own pocket it looks filthy & im unable to remove it. It started off a lovely colour. So yes use an otterbox cover but consider the colour you choose :-(
