CELTIC LORE:1ozCopperRounds COMPLETE SET, FIVE COINS: Merlin, The Morrigan, The Welsh Red Dragon, Cernunnos, and Banshee

The 5 piece copper round set of Celtic Lore is a great idea for the Welch people of which I am one. Upon seeing this offer & the stamped copper rounds photos, got my attention immediately. Viewing the exploded photos, the print looked rather flat but some of the angles looked somewhat of a higher relief factor. I wasn't sure if I really like them enough to spend over $100.00 but seeing the red indication that this was the last set amazon had, I went ahead with the purchase figuring that was the last of a 20,000 set of 100,000 pieces that were struck. Upon receiving the coins, I immediately notice how flat the prints were & that I needed a magnifying glass to distinguish the subjects in the print. Not Happy. I went back to the site and saw that the advertising again stated in RED, that this was again the last set. NOT HAPPY. At that point I decided these were just not worth it and would return them. This was a great Idea & excellent drawings but the striking by the mint lacked. These should have been struck in a true high relief fashion, maybe in extra high if that possible. Sorry about having to return these but they just are not worth the price in copper. Silver would work.

These coins are incredible!!! They are extremely well done and detailed. And I love that they include the Morrigan and Cernunos! The weight (1 oz. each) and size are awesome, these are NOT skimpy coins. I applaud the person who carved the molds for these. I plan on wire wrapping these to wear as pendants. They're too beautiful not to show off.
