works with my Alpine CDA-105 and iPhone 12
This works with my Alpine CDA-105 (circ 2011) and my iPhone 12. It comes with no directions whatsoever !!! From another review I got that the red wire goes to +12volt, and black to ground, which makes sense. Never fun connecting wires in a tight space. Once I did that it paired up no problem, but it took me a few minutes to figure out that to play music, you select source AUX IN, not BT (bluetooth). I will be getting another for my truck which has the same Alpine head unit. Note I got this to play music, not handsfree talking on the phone. I'm hoping that phone calls are ignored by this adapter, or I will be very disappointed.

Perfect for my Bluetooth conversion
Worked perfect for retro fitting an old alpine cda 9835 radio that i had installed a kca-420i for Ipod with music. This took place of that, now bluetooth takes place of the auxiliary source. Wired to remote wire for auto on and off. However phone calls do not go through the radio.

Doesn’t work on my Alpine CDA 9857 deck
I was so excited to add Bluetooth to my ancient Alpine CDA 9857 stereo. Had to dismantle my dash to gain access to back side of my stereo. Installed this cable and it doesn’t work. Bluetooth flashes on device so I know it’s properly attached to power and ground. Could be a broken connection within AI-Net interface cable? Too much of a p.i.t.a. to uninstall and return. Disappointed.

Reunited and It Feels So Good!
Have to admit, I was very hesitant about buying this. But .. After Jonesin' for months I figured anything had to be better than listening to radio. So many reviews about terrible sound kept me away. It worked fine, as any Bluetooth connection would. It feels so good! Don't let the clowns dissuade you from getting back to your Zen.

Initially seems to be surprising good, not fully implemented.
Just hooked up in a test configuration on the bench. Plugged into a 2006 Alpine( the recessed socket not the connector on the cable.(There is a lot of confusing info about what they tell you it goes to, what it will plug into and it's Aux, or A-net, or high speed.Mine came up as Aux,(on the head unit) my iPhone X connected to it in 2 seconds... like that never has happened.....It stayed connected, sounded great. Like really, I was impressed, as I switched between CD too! Level was also very even from sources.(no adjustments made). All my digital crap is downloaded Using the most data density I can get it in at the time, so it has the potential at least, to not suck.
