Sonnics 500GB White External Portable Hard drive USB 3.0 Compatible with Windows PC, Mac, Smart tv, XBOX ONE & PS4

I needed a storage device for photos and documents I have accumulated over the years, and after some consideration I decided to opt for this external hard drive. Firstly I am not a computer buff and to be honest not the most technically gifted person, so I wanted something simple to set up to transfer a number of files, folders mainly container years worth of pictures. I opted for the sonics brand with 1TB capacity, it says its ultra slim and portable and it certainly is, weighing only some 150g and fits in my hand easily also my trouser pocket! Now as mentioned I only wanted this as a back-up so I wouldn't lose many old photos and files and I must say that downloading them on the the hard drive was simple and very fast, it took no time to do and every time I have wanted to get a file I just plug in and within seconds I can locate the file or pic I am looking for. It comes with a USB 3.0 lead and is as simple as plug in and play. For my needs and convenience, portable I am giving it a full 5 stars, the 1TB comes in just under £40 at the time of writing and seems very good value.

I am absolutely amazed by how effortless and incredible this hard drive is. I really regret not purchasing it sooner! Considering the price I paid, I can confidently say that it offers great value for the money. Equipped with 1TB of storage, it allows me to effortlessly digitize and store numerous files and documents that were previously scattered around. This hard drive is akin to a USB stick but with an expansive storage capacity. It has enabled me to eliminate paper clutter by securely storing everything on the hard drive. Its compact size makes it incredibly portable and easy to stow away in bags, shelves, or pockets while on the go. The packaging was top-notch, ensuring that the hard drive arrived in perfect condition, just as it was depicted online. I am extremely satisfied with this product and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone with extensive storage needs.

Hard drive is fine but by default is formatted to FAT32 meaning it won't store anything above 4gb as an individual file. You will probably need to format it so you can store your files properly.

I was very pleased with this 1TB external hard drive. It is super easy to use. It is very small & thus convenient to store. It wasn't very expensive & I have already used it to backup some of my important data. This has given me peace of mind. Also transferring the data was quick by any standards.

Stopped working. Can't even format now, tried everything i can find on line, lost a lot of data!! Xpuod be a windows 11 issue, not sure. Worked one day then the next day not formatted correctly so cant trust it anymore. Will not buy a sonnies again

I'm not into tech stuff, however this hard drive was easy to set up and use. Very pleased as I was able to transfer photos and files from one laptop to another. Small and compact. Not too pricey either.
