HEATMAXX 35000-BTU Portable Radiant Propane Heater, Heats 820 Sq Ft

Assembly was easy enough. Took about an hour in my well equipped shop. No tools supplied, however. Not even one of those silly stamped wrenches. Installed a std. 20# propane tank and it lit right away. However, even holding the knob down for a full minute, it went out as soon as I released it. Changed the tank to one that was working fine on another heater. Same result. There was a notice in the carton that said "Do Not Return Product to the store!"- call 1-866-814-0585". Did that. A woman speaking fairly understandable English answered. After a few reasonable questions, she made the same diagnosis I had: either the tip switch, thermocouple or the control valve, itself was faulty. I said send me the parts, (all three), and I'd be happy to replace them. She said, the parts are not available and that I should return the whole unit to the store. I said I was simply not willing to disassemble the unit and go through the hassle of sending it back. Rather I'd simply seek a refund from Amazon and they'd be welcome to come get the unit if they wanted it back.

I'll update this to see how seller handles this but this item is no longer supported by the manufacturer and didn't work when it arrived. Seems like several other people had DOA items too. My advice, don't buy it, spend double and get aMr. Heater MH35LP . Those things are awesome. BTW, propane items can't be returned so that limits options when it can't be repaired and they won't take it back.

Sorry after 2 yrs only used it two times and now will not stay 🔥 not good will not buy again and its be covered up so it can not be the weather bought this back on march 2018 looks good but not working

Heats pretty well, very firm, the motion cut off might be too sensitive.

Please save your money do not buy only gave it one 🌟 star cause it makes you pick one but I give it a negative five

This heater is very quiet and really heats a large space.

This heater had a really hard time lighting up at first. After many attempts I finally succeeded and it worked for one day and now does not work at all. The one day that it did work it gave off an extremely harsh odor, but I figured it would just burn off after awhile. I tried switching propane tanks and nothing. I looked in the manual at trouble shooting and states I may have to replace automatic control valve, which would cost way too much. Very disappointed.

Like all The other reviews. Don’t buy it. It is a POS. I’m quite mechanically inclined, and know my share about HVAC. I messed with this thing for 45 minutes. Then I read the other reviews on Amazon and realized I wasted my time. Buyer beware. I’m quite sure it’s a faulty gas valve.
