Works well
Works well so far. It is rather time consuming for just one cup of coffee! I use it with my aero press and by the time I measure out and grind up the coffee beans, set up my aero press, stir and plunge, I feel like I'm cheating by boiling the water in an electric kettle.

it works. It's great. It's close to perfect.
I'm only writing this because some knobhead called James, Who claims to be the owner, sent me a naff E-mail asking for my review. I generally don't write reviews unless the item is exceptional. The coffee grinder is perfect in every way....It's shiny and sleek, it's adjustable to produce a grind that works for my various makers. it takes less than two minutes of hand grinding to produce enough for a good strong brew. I own a kitchen full of gadgets and this one slips away unobtrusively into a corner behind the beans. BUT..and this is why etc... it comes in a really nice velvet bag? I don't quite know what to say about the bag except it has no use in my kitchen. The final problem is a design fault in that the grinding handle is too low(Small) and turns so that your knuckles rasp across the turning arm with every turn.Good job we're a learning species and I can use just my finger tips or a slight longer knob on the handle will do the job.

Slight improvement to the cup, satisfying experience.
Do you want to feel like you earned your morning cup of coffee?Do you want the coffee to taste slightly better?Do you, perhaps, wish to grind coffee on the go?If you answered yes to any of these, this product is definitely worth considering. I have enjoyed every time I have used it and the coffee tastes better not only from the fact it is freshly ground but from the fact I have earned that cup by putting in effort. This product is not too expensive but really brightens up my mornings because the beautiful crunch and sweet smell of coffee beans are some of the best parts about coffee. If you are already at the stage where instant coffee is not enough, this is one stage past ground coffee. Next you will be sourcing and roasting your own raw beans.

It works
It works. The ground coffee is good. Takes a lot of effort to grind enough coffee beans for a cup. I’m viewing it as an opportunity for extra exercise but may change my view if I get tennis elbow or grinder’s wrist. A slightly longer knurled bit on the winder handle would help avoid catching my knuckles on the barrel. But, it works and is much cheaper than an electronic version.

grounds chamber doesn't attach securely + too narrow
The product seems well made, but the design is poor. First, the grounds chamber doesn't screw on to the grinder part. The first time I was using it I set it down to swat a fly, and then I mindlessly picked it back up from the top part which made the grounds chamber fall onto the ground and spill my grounds all over the floor. Plus, when grinding you have to squeeze the top and bottom parts and the bottom wiggles, so it's more work to grind than is necessary. The top chamber is also a bit too narrow for getting beans in there easily. Spillage is likely.

Coffee Grinder problems
The hexagonal spindle which connects the grinding arm to the ceramic grinder is already showing signs of wear and tear with the corners beginning to round off. How long will it be before it fails altogether, due to the excessive wear? The black synthetic knob is not deep enough and therefore provides insufficient surface area for grip which in turn makes it difficult/clumsy in use in terms of completing the grinding process. The grinding action itself is great including the adjust-ability of the ceramic mechanism. I have only very recently took delivery of this item a couple of weeks ago now. The already worn spindle needs to longer in my view too in order to prevent the rotating arm from slipping off the spindle. Item could also be greatly improved by incorporating a rubber sleeve to facilitate/aid better grip on the body of the coffee grinder whilst completing the grinding process.

Consistent grind size and compact size
Bought this to replace an electric grinder that wasn't giving me consistent enough results. Naturally as this is a manual grinder it takes more time than an electric one, however it this does give a much more consistent grind size compared to my old electric one (spinning blades, not a burr grinder).Grind size can be adjusted easily and handle can be lifted off to make it very compact and easy to store in-between uses, and as everything comes apart easily it's very easy to clean. So far very happy with this and certainly a lot cheaper than a good consistent electric burr grinder.

Skewed
It came skewed and gears are grinding against each other. It's kind of usable for very rough grinding, but it gets locked on a fine setting.
