Awesome for Imaginative Play with Toddlers
My little one loves her Playmobil Countryside set and I decided to get her this Advent calendar to go along with it. The pieces are thoughtfully arranged in an order that allows for imaginative play from day one and can be used together. Children may need encouraged and shown how to play with the pieces and will want to know what they are. I've found that with my little one's current set we've been able to add an incredible amount of play to what we had before and we're only on day 10 of the calendar. The calendar comes in a sleeve that reveals what is behind each door. The cardboard backdrop is between the sleeve and calendar in a plastic bag. I've set this aside for later. It does have a cardboard hook attached and I found this great for hanging it out of my little ones reach. The only complaint that I have is that the pieces are in a plastic tray inside the calendar, similar to that of Valentine's chocolates, and my little one needs help to remove the pieces almost every morning which can be frustrating for little ones who want to be independent. Overall, I've found this to be a great product and my little one was not deterred by items such as the bush... great for playing hide and seek. "Mama, what's that?" "A bush!" "Cool!" "Here, I'll show you how to play with it." "Oh, yay!" And, we're all set. If you expect your child to play independently with this item or you want all of the toys to be independent of one another, then this might not be the Advent calendar for you.We went to open what we though was the scenery and it was missing. :-( I went to the Playmobil USA website and contacted them. If you are missing a part in your calendar message them: "MISSING/DEFECTIVE PARTS/STICKERS:If you purchase a new set and find that there are missing or defective parts or stickers, e-mail us with your name, mailing address and telephone number along with the part number off the instruction booklet. Upon receipt of your information we can ship you the part at no charge. Our warranty is 30 days from the date of purchase. This email is a confirmation that your information will be sent to our Parts Department where they will ship your replacement parts."Note: This set does not come with a cardboard background.

Perfect, except for one minor flaw...
We absolutely love anything by Playmobil, and we were thrilled to find a Playmobil advent calendar for our 2-year-old to enjoy. It has all the sturdiness and detail we have come to expect from Playmobil, and the finished scene is adorable! Our son has loved opening a new door each morning to discover the day's treasure. If not for one minor flaw, I would have rated it 5 stars. The problem is that some of the days, all excitement is crushed when the little door opens to reveal... a bush. Or a crate. I wish they combined these kind of items with other more exciting items, like the deer or other animals. My son was so bummed that his daily surprise turned out to be a bush, haha. Other than that, it's a great little set that we'll keep for years to come!

So cute!!
I loved this! I bought this for our son. It was his first Advent Calendar. The whole thing is super adorable. Sturdy pieces. A few were a little difficult to get out of the slots. I've seen complaints about the pieces. Not every day can be Santa and/or reindeer.Just don't buy it for a two-and-a-half year old. "I" thought it was going to be a great thing our son and I could open together every night after work/daycare and have fun with it.Uh, not so much... I'd wait until a kid is 4 or so before they have the patience to not open the whole thing in one sitting.

I love it!
Such a cute idea that Santa is bringing Christmas to the forest animals around the North Pole. Many clever details. Perfect for little hands. Be careful when you pull the inner box out of the exterior folder. I didn't realize that my thumb was pushing down to hard on one of the door flaps of the calendar side and partially opened it. I think little children would love this set. Adults need to assist the child opening the flaps and discussing the uses of each piece before allowing the child to play with it.

Fun Advent Calendar
Got this for my 2 year old as a first advent calendar. He loved opening it every day, even if some of the pieces might not be viewed by an adult as "exciting" he was thrilled with it anyways. Even on day 24 he was excited when we mentioned doing his advent calendar! For the price and the brand, I felt like there was a good amount of items included and enough "bigger" items to make it worth it.

Total hit!
Bought this for our four year old daughter this year. We didnโt want to do the candy one again. She absolutely loves it. The characters are cute and every day when she opens a new door she has a blast making up a new story to incorporate the new figure. I was surprised at how much she loves it.

Playmobile Success
This Advent calendar is great for the 3 year old and older child. Each day my grandson has been filled with anticipation of opening another number. Not only are the prizes high quality, but I feel the arrangement of the calendar numbers helps the child look for the number and read them Great learning/teaching tool too.

Grandkids love the Playmobil Advent calendars
I've been giving these to our young grandchildren for the past 5 years. I LOVE THEM. Sadly, Playmobil has run out of NEW Christmas themed Advent calendars, especially in the '1,2,3' category, so 2018 was probably the last year for these for us as it's also the time the kids are getting a bit too old for them. If we are blessed with more grandbabies to love I will again love giving them these wonderful Playmobil Advent calendars and toys.

Good fun toys each day, good value and 2-6 year olds will probably love it more than chocolate!
Bought for my 20month old daughter. Sheโs used to playing with toys this kind of size. Most of the items that come out of the windows are instant hits and fine to play with on their own. There are a couple of days where you just pull out a box of carrots or a tray, but even those she liked! The windows are a little fiddly for little fingers so we had to help her get each thing out. This is a good thing really as it means we knew what she was getting and could explain it to her.Overall it makes an exciting playful alternative to chocolate calendars which I donโt really agree with. Having a new toy every day definitely helped my daughter begin to understand time, waiting, patience and the ideas behind advent calendars. She still plays with the toys, not just as a scene but individually too.And they can all be added to bigger sets.

Very disappointing and boring
Bought this for my 2 year old as his christmas advent calendar. His older brother had a lego one which was very good fun but this one is boring. Some days you get scenery and others you get dubious quality toys. He very quickly lost interest and probably the but he most enjoyed was just opening the doors. I doubt the toys will be played with again and so I don't recommend this.

Great Advent calendar idea.
Christmas build up calendar for 7 year old grandson. We all enjoyed it! Great idea. Would go for a Playmobil nativity one this year if I found one. I'm sure they're out there if i look. Definitely one above the normal advent calendar and one that is forever there to play with in future. All interactive with any Playmobil we already have. Loved it (and so did my grandson)!

Playmobil advent calendar for 18 months +
Present for adventurous/advanced two year old and she loved it! Got great pleasure opening each of the doors on its day and building the scene - and best of all can play all year round - I commend Playmobil for this extension to their range - thanks!

Fantastic alternative to chocolate advent.
My son is 5 and as an alternative to chocolate advent this year, we got this. So pleased with the quality of the pieces. It makes a wonderful winter display including a Santa figure. I will definitely get another similar next year.
