I've had one knee replacement and two hip replacements. The one thing always prescribed after surgery - the one thing I HATE - is TED hose. The stuff they give you at the hospital is nigh near impossible to get on. Then, it's so tight at the knee and ankles, it cuts off your circulation and itches you to death! If you're fortunate enough to have someone help you at home the first few days after surgery, that's great. But what about after a week? You can't get those darn things on yourself, especially if you have a new hip, or - like me - it's compounded by weak hands. HELP!!These hose are your life saver! I showed them to my surgeon and he was pleasantly surprised. He said he hoped to get more people using something like this. Why?1. Using a sock-helper, anyone can put them on themselves. (I also used a zipper-pull because of my hip, until I could reach that far.)2. They zip up. And the zipper holds, too. Take a bit of care to smooth the fabric as you go and you won't feel the zipper at all!3. There is good compression, but they don't strangle your legs.4. Compression is WELL-GRADUATED from your feet to your knees. There are no tight bands at your knees.5. They are machine washable. I washed them daily in a mesh bag with the rest of my laundry, but LET THEM HANG TO DRY. Do not put them in the dryer. Buy enough pairs that you can have one in the wash one day while you wear another pair.6. They're made of stretch cotton - very breathable and very comfortable. I wore socks over mine.I measured my calves - average of 14". I bought L/XL. That worked for me.There are NO TOES in these hose.Each pack contains 2 PAIRS of hose.

The package is marked L/XL. No way. You can't have your L and XL too, it's one or the other. In this case it leaned toward L which proved useless to me when the zipper soon got stuck trying to open and close the socks. Because they were mis-sized they also proved to be too small for my lower leg.

I was recently told to start wearing compression socks. I saw the zipper kind and thought they would be great. Well the foot, the length of the sock, the compression, those are all good, thumbs up. Only problem I have is the zipper leaves an imprint and its slightly uncomfortable. Something I never thought of when I bought them. I bought zipper socks from a different seller and they are the same way. So if you dont care about that they are ok. Also this product title saying its a 2 pack,,lol, its only one pair of socks that you are buying.

With the zipper it is easier to put the sock on your leg. Had a small problem with bunching around my foot, but not too much. Thanks!

Arrived already snagged in a few places. Maybe it's just me, but these socks are a little large on the feet. This is my 1st pair with zippers, so I don't want to misjudge, but once I got them zipped up my ankles look like cankles (wrinkles puddled around my ankles). I don't think with a smaller pair I'd have been able to get the zipper up. I'm so confused. Not fashionable to begin with, but not acceptable to wrinkle around the ankles. High top boots & tennis shoes from now on????

I originally purchased these for my mom, who recently had hip replacement surgery. My hands are wrecked from arthritis and the zipper made it so easy to put on and remove.
