Kraft ToolDW242 Soffit Square

Good product. I gave it three stars because my first one bent when I walked through scaffolding and banged it with my bags on so I think the metal is softer than it should be.A factory notched square is superior because grinding out your own notch tends to pull it out of square which makes it less than useful in my opinion. The only other critique would be that the “useful information” has nothing to do with metal framing, which is what we do with a soffit square. I don’t need to have nail sizes and pilot hole sizes for various woods etc.Other than that it’s worth having so I bought another one. It is 3x as much as a regular square so unless you are doing metal framing or neich wood framing you don’t need it.

A good bit more solid then my em pire 8×12. Kinda confused though. If this square is geared toward metal stud framing, why is all the info on it about wood? Still a good square though.

Works great. I am a framer I work with metal mostly so this square works great for soffit. the cut is perfect and smooth not like the ones I have made in the past.

this is a must have in the Commercial drywall metal stud industry where precision is the standard. thank you Kraft finally someone heard And executed a top notch quality product .

Terrible tool just buy a regular square

Really great framing square .Iam a metal stud framer now I don't have too take the chop saw to cut the groove in the square. .

It comes in handy for so many other things I pretty much use it everyday while framing metal.
