You can't get any more top-of-the line than the Yakima HighRoller. It's capable of securing anything from monster free rides to dainty princess bikes, without having to remove any wheels. Now the only dirty things you have to put in your car are riders.

Super quick and easy to load or unload from this rack!
I have kept this rack on my vehicle year 'round and loaded or unloaded bikes thousands of times. It is rock solid and still works just like day one.

Rack doesn't fit Yakima's own product...(technically)
I'll start off by saying - I do LIKE Yakima's products. I've owned racks and bike carrier's from them in the past. but...This is a HUGE carrier...IMO overkill for anything but a monster mountain bike, but it is sturdy and looks well built. It's better used if you're not going to take it on and off the car repeatedly, so this wasn't a fit for me. For those contemplating this carrier with a Whisbar rack...read on.I bought a Whispbar rack, but Whispbar doesn't sell an upright bike carrier...only the fork mount one where you have to take the wheel off (FAIL #1).Whispbar is owned by Yakima, so the Yakima carrier should work with the bars out of the box right? WRONG! (FAIL #2). You need to purchase the Whispbar Mighty Mount adapter - FOR $75 (FAIL #3...$75 for two pieces of plastic!!! Rip off...)SO...I purchased the adapters and go figure...the adapters don't fit tight to the Whispbar rails. Not surprising as you want a little gap as it needs to close upon tightening to clamp on.In go the bolts from the Yakima rack and...OH GREAT the bolts aren't long enough to install the nut! (FAIL #4...or is this just a part of Fail #2...who cares, it doesn't work). So what DOES work with the Whispbar rack? THULE'S 598 Criterium bike carrier with the XADAPT8 adapter pack!!! Many thanks to another reviewer (Manuel Cordero's review of this same product) for pointing this out...too bad I read his review AFTER I bought these racks. To add one last point...I never thought of trying the XADAPT8 on this Yakima carrier...perhaps that would've worked?

Easy to use and mount as advertised
Easy to use and mount as advertised. I have use it a couple of times and have no complaints about its functionality. One thing I missed, is that the rack does not have an inherit way to lock it to the cross bar. Particularly when you have a bike mounted and the integrated cable is locking the bike to the rack. Found a solution to lock it to the crossbar that I'm yet to implement which is using a Yakima accessory lock housing. Would loved to see the same locking mechanism in the front loader model implemented here (did not spot that on time).

Happy, but some minor negs
So far it's solid. It's easy to over tighten the wheel, making it hard to open. It's kinda hard to put a heavy bike in there. I'm 5'8' and I have a Honda Accord and I have a downhill bike. It's kinda tough to put in there. If my car was taller, I'd need a ladder.Gas mileage - I have three of these on my car. When all three are on, it cuts my gass mileage down 13 mi to the gallon. That sucks.Overall though I'm still happy. Nice to not have to take wheels off, especially my kids that are not quick release.

EXCELLENT Customer Service from Yakima
Great bike rack, unless it breaks :( So why rate it 5 star? Read on...I purchased my Highroller from Amazon, and had a problem with my ratcheting mechanism that clamps the front tire in after only 2.5 weeks of use. However, I contacted Yakima directly, and they asked me for a few pieces of information regarding my claim, which were all easy to obtain and submit to the Yakima rep. They offered to send me a new Highroller free of charge, but they were back-ordered for almost 2 months.I told them that I couldn't wait because I had planned a vacation 1 week from this incident and I needed a rack ASAP, so they offered to send me a Frontloader, which I accepted.Couldn't be happier with the service from Yakima, and I will continue to support and shop with them. The Highroller is a great rack, but Yakima customer service is even better!!

Great for thru-axle bikes with no quick-release front fork
Great for my new thru-axle bikes. I recently upgraded my road and dirt bikes, and while I love them both, I really missed the old quick-release front forks on my older bikes. Using an adapter to put the new bikes on my old Yakima rack was a complete pain -- if you've tried it, you know you either need three hands, or you have to mount the adapter to the bike before you heave it up onto the rack, which is only slightly less awkward. Plus, I got tired of unscrewing the axle before and after each ride (especially after). This rack is bulkier and uglier than my old ones, but it really works well. On my small SUV I had to mount the rack backwards so its long tail wouldn't obstruct my rear hatch, but that's no problem. Yeah, my bike looks dorky up there, but who cares.

Yakima HighRollers
I like the easy of use and the high quality product that Yakima had always been know for.A couple downsides I found with this product is that since they are big and so they make a fair amount of wind noise while installed. The other concern I had with them was that they do not come with anything to lock the bike rack to your bars. Someone can easily steal these off your roof if you don't buy aftermarket or Yakima brand locks.

MazdaSpeed 3 + High Roller = Awesome
The product mounts easy, stores easy, and carries bikes great. I've got 2 mounted to the roof of my MazdaSpeed 3 and we are off. I gave it a 4 because of the cons.Pros:Lifetime warrantyEasy MountAdjustable to wheel sizeInclude lock to frameNo wheel removalNo road noiseCons:Price (although we got 2 from amazon warehouse for 130 each)There is no method to lock the mount to the round bars. (In theory, given enough time and tools, someone could remove mount and bike, Just not the round bars if you have them locked in your tower.)

Can't be locked to car, and slow to remove.
I miss the older style Yakima front loader. The highroller only accomodates one lock core (on the bike lock cable), so there is no intrinsic way to lock the rack into the car. It also lacks the easy ability of the front loader to be quickly installed and removed (highroller uses three separate loops with carriage bolts and wing nuts, with the front ones hidden behind trim panels--its clearly designed to be left on all season), beyond that, it does firmly hold a bike.

No es nuevo el producto usado todo abierto y con señales de uso
Pensé que eran productos nuevos pero ya estaba abierto las bolsas y todos los tornillos sueltos raspado y con señales de uso por todos lados? Que sucedió aquí?
