Pyle GPS Smart Golf Watch with Course Recognition Green Locator Distance Calculator and Scoring System

After reading many of the bad reviews i still decided to purchase this item. unfortunately many of the reviews were correct. point #1, buttons are hard to press, while this is partially true for some reason when the watch is on the wrist, the high profile of the watch makes it better due to it being stable on the wrist. trying to set it up without putting on was actually harder. point#2, having to manually choose course, i did not find this a problem, it doesn't take much to choose the course, just about 10 to get to your location and a few more depending how many courses there are in your area but if you set it up before you get to the course no biggie. point #3, the bad point related to #2 is the fact they haven't updated the courses since 2014, 2 courses here in hawaii opened and 2 redesigned their layout which makes this watch unusable for those courses. point #4, i have not had the hole switching problem as some did over 5 plays and i play public courses which have holes very close together but i might not keep this watch to find out if it does happen. point #5 , product support, as i stated earlier the last update was in nov 2014, and the firmware as well i have sent an email to pyle support to see if they respond if no response within a week, this watch will go back to amazon, as there are similar products in this price range that dont have any of these problems. overall this could be a great watch if they would keep it updated or even give an option to map your own course, with these current problems though i would not recommend this watch unless you buy at amazon warehouse deals at a very low price and have a backup for the courses not on the watch, note: i also have the bushnell neo ion watch and the mapping for both were similar , the main reason to purchase this watch was to have an extra for my son so he wouldnt always be asking me the yardage and that it also has a scoring feature that mine doesnt and i also have golfshot pro on my phone which i used for many years but like the simplicity of looking at my wrist for approximate yardage. i am about a 12 handicapper so i dont really need exact yardage when i am just having a fun round with my family.

first one I have ever owned... it took me a while to really get to know how to use it .... instructions not very clear to me ... it takes me two minutes to set it up and away we go ...it is very accurate......but every time I get to the 18 tee box it goes to number 1......battery life is good for 9 hours .....for the money I think it was o k..............I have now used it for a complete year....I got to find an easy way to turn it on and off......unit works like a charm.......only trouble I had with it ...strap broke on one side....called new York repair center for warranty repair.....they told me how to send it to them.....cost $5.48....filled out the problem form the sent me ....they could have seen what was wrong if they only looked at it......after several phone calls , I finally got through to some one who told me that the strap ,which is an integral part of the watch, was not guaranteed....after another three weeks and a $15.00 fee, I finally got them to agree to fix and return my unit

I bought and used tie Pyle vintage turntable, so When I was looking for golf GPS watches and saw the Pyle watch, I decided to give it a try. The price was right. When it arrived (on time) I read the instructions, charged it up, did an update of the firmware, and downloaded the North Amarican courses file.The first day I went to my course I did a manual download no problem, played all 18 holes again np and the gps was as accurate as those I was golfing with. The next day, I let the watch do an automatic download, but not sure if that even matters if you download the courses file to start with :-)The buttons are a little stiff, not difficult to press at all.So far am having fine experiences with this watch.

This GPS system is OK. It needed to be programed by the company, as my computer would not down load the program ( I have no other issues or problems with any other program). At the different golf courses, it takes a while for the auto system to find the course, other players systems find the course and down load within 20 to 30 seconds. In addition I played at a course that is by my house, the auto system did NOT find it, I had to go through the manuel system to find and down load.Once the course is in the watch, it work's great.

Not bad for the price. Pretty Accurate and it looks nice. The real problem with this item is the push buttons and software. The buttons are extremely hard to push. A softer rubber would a great improvement. While standing on the first hold I tried to locate my course using the "Auto" function. It was extremely slow but eventually told me it could not locate a course. However, my course was available if I did the "Manual" locator. The "Manual" locator is extremely laborious in that you first select North America, then you state and city (Alphabetically listed). A list of available courses is then. available to select from. That would not be bad if it just would remember this information, but the next time I tried it (2 hours later) I had to select everything again.

The Pyle golf GPS is great so far, I have used it a couple of times. I read some of the reviews, the comment about the buttons being kind of hard to press is right on, a firm press and it's good to go. It takes a little getting use to the bells and whistles this GPS has to offer. It does what I want from this GPS, yardage/distance, etc. It's comfortable to wear, almost like you are not wearing it. I think it is stylish as well. It was a good price, too!!!!

When I first unboxed the watch, I became very discouraged as I was having problems with the firmware update that is required and could not get it to download to the watch and I could not get the course update to download to the watch as a result. I posted a comment to this affect and a very nice gentleman from Pyle Audio replied to my post very quickly and asked that I call him. He walked me through everything on the phone and my GPS golf watch is now working great! I am very happy and extremely pleased with the help I received from Pyle Audio and love my GPS Golf watch. Thanks to Ben at Pyle for all your help!

Did all the downloads required. Updated the watch. Updated the courses. No course found when I went to play golf. Very disappointed. Did all the downloaded and updates again. Still could JT find my course. Horseshoe Valley is a well known resort in Ontario it has two courses. Neither could be found. Sent the watch back. Amazon was great and refunded straight away.

I am having difficulty getting my gps watch to function. It is not working . Hoping I will be able to return it when I return from vacationNicoleI would like to return the Pyle too difficult to coordinate
