Tundra Trekker

I got this as a versatile knife for hiking etc being out in the woods. It has not disappointed so far.

I'm a consulting utility forester and have to hack my way through thick brush on a daily basis. The Tundra Trekker is absolutely amazing for it's size. I can single slash my way through 2'' diameter sapplings all day, even hard wood manzanita. I use the back side of the blade to smash through dead wood, and to gather and move the brush I fell. It's small enough to fit inside my ANSI class 2 safety vest, and I honestly think this was a much better purchase than going with the standard machete design.

This knife has good specs for making camp fires. I personally would have liked to see it 1/4 thick but 3/16 should be all you need regarding the fact it's 1095.The only concern I have is the last two saw teeth next to thumb jimping. There's only about one inch width of steel where all stress and shock will be absorbed and it's tapered thin down to edge. That's why I would have preferred 1/4 thick stock.
