Weber 7591 Genesis Island Cabinetry

I purchased the Weber Genesis Grill Island Cabinets on-line because I could not find them at the local Home Depot where I bought the grill. They arrived right on schedule. FED-X left them out in the middle of my driveway and did not even knock on the door to tell us the very large package had arrived. But, everything was really well packed and all parts were in perfect shape. Putting it together was a lot of work. Many of the pieces do not fit easily together so that was a bit frustrating but the instructions are excellent and easy to follow. The right side cabinet had the bolt placement slightly off so that the door will not hang 100% perfectly but I don't think anybody but me will notice. When it was done, it looked great and has been a valuable addition to my grill. It doubled my work and storage space. I wish it had been a little easier to assemble but, other than that and the poor fittings on the right cabinet, I have no complaints. I wish Weber offered more Genesis island pieces like a corner piece, a sink or a ridge so I could turn it into more of an outdoor kitchen.

I knew that I wanted the cabinet before I purchased mt grill. Heck, I did purchase it before I had my grill. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to find it since Weber discontinued it. I don't know why they would but I assume it wasn't a great seller. Like others have said that it does have a gap between the grill doors and the cabinet doors. It is about 3/8"-1/2" This is needed for the cabinet doors to still be able to be opened. It does bug me a bit but not enough for me to deduct a star. I will just add a little piece of rubber weather stripping and call it a day. Other than the slight gap, everything else mates perfectly. The extra space is great for the tools or whatever grilling accessories you have. I also purchased the Weber Gourmet grill so the additional pieces fit nicely in the cabinets. The wok doesn't fir there so that goes under the grill The magnet for the doors were cracked so I contacted Weber and had replacements within a few days. Great service. Overall, I love the look and functionality of the island and how it mated well with my Weber EP-330. If you are considering it, pick it up soon before you can't find it anymore!

Purchased the Island Cabinetry for our new Genesis 330 Gas Grill. It expands storage capacity and adds that outdoor kitchen look to your grill. The directions for assembly were fairly clear and not that difficult. It did take my husband a fair amount of time. The only problems were two damage parts that were discovered after over half of the project was completed. The door magnet in the bottom of the right cabinet was broken with a dent in the Stainless Steel right top. I called Amazon Customer Service who would have taken the unit back and replaced it. However, I did not want to return it since it was over half assembled. Amazon furnished me the Weber Customer Service number which I called and Weber sent new parts. Both were pleasant customer service experiences. Husband now has replaced the damage parts and we look forward to using our cabinetry and grill this Spring. Looks great!

Do not like the fact that the cabinets do not fit perfectly next to the grill cabinet. You can see a separation between the two doors.

I love this idea, but the doors are to small. They leave about a 3/4 gap where stuff can get in (bugs, dirt etc...). I expected a lot more from Weber. I love their grills and wouldn't even consider another brand. But, I don't understand why the doors, especially at this price, wouldn't fit correctly. I would recommend this, but I will have to put a filler piece in somehow to remedy the situation. My magnets arrived broke and I had to super glue them for it to work right.

I am quite pleased with these cabinets. The additional storage and work space will be wonderful. The unit is very sturdy--no wobbles! Assembly was easy. No problems. No stripped screws. No missing parts. However, both door magnets arrived broken. Weber was very quick to send replacements, as others have said was the case. Two comments: 1. As others have mentioned, the two doors do not seal tightly (3/8" gap on inside front). It will be important to cover the unit. I already had a cover for my Genesis 330 from Andrew Jockett at Northstar products, inc., but it would, of course no longer work with the extensions. I have ordered a new cover, since I was quite pleased with the original. I am delighted that the original cover fits my large Big Green Egg and table very well, so I can still use it. I believe Northstar has a stock cover that will fit the grill and cabs covering them to the ground, not just around the top like the Weber cover does. Disclaimer: I have NO affiliation with Northstar! :-) 2. A real bargain at the current price ($195). I paid $249 ;-( If the rains ever stop, I am eager to play with the grill and make use of the storage.. May add more comments then.

It matches our 3yr old black Genesis perfectly, makes the grill area look ridiculous in the best way possible, super discounted since being discontinued, with the expanded workspace the side tables don't melt hamburger bun bags anymore It arrives in one 75lb box, take stock and inspect everything for damage before you start putting it together, before, trust me the only complaint I have is about the spacing between doors, on the grill its tight but the gap between the Island Cabinetry doors is about 3/4", it will drive you mad
