LGA 2011 V3 (not just LGA2011)
Actually I don't know if I like it or not. I ordered all the parts for my server based on the fact that they tout LGA 2011 is actually LGA2011 V3.So had to return the non compatable MB (V3 not compatable with non V) and Memory (DDR4 not DDR3)

Big memory needs Xeon
This is a great processor to access uber large amounts of RAM, more than the Core i7 can handle. This is about the maximum Xeon you can get before the prices skyrocket and is a workhorse running Windows 10 (and Windows 7 too). While this processor is really designed for servers, we use them in workstations. The Xeon processors have about double the data bandwidth of the i7 and in addition to scads of memory. We don't use ECC RAM on "normal" machines, but Heavy CAD machines get it, and we use the Xeon to take advantage of that. I don't know that this processor would be the ultimate gaming machine processor, but then wouldn't be all that bad either.
