In general it's a good device.

The transmitter is bit big, the receiver is the same size of other brands, works perfectly. Connecting time is very short. If you are trying to change the channel from the room were the receiver is, expect a delay. Tried many times but it's bit slow. Changing the source in transmitter will take a second or two. In general it's a good device.

Works great! I tried multiple wireless HD options and this is by far the best. Zero lag when streaming PS4.

Poor range, signal quality drop

The range was 80 feet with direct sight, and did not work through walls. The 1080P signal from my camera was dropped to 480 by this transmitter even with direct line of sight. I would not recommend

I've never been sold on the wireless video transfers before but when i started to use this product for our event center, I couldn't wait to return it. The unit glitches during broadcast if the transmitter is receiving various types of resolutions from a single source ( macbook pro - powerpoint ). This was being used as a temp fix to send wireless signal from a laptop to a pop up screen for an event where there was no way to run cabling.

Expensive but good with a few flaws.

First impression, looks good, well made, has enough weight to hold the cables down.Made connections and fired it up. All was well. Picture and sound, great. I loved it.Then I set up the IRblaster emitters for appleTV and Blueray player. Testing they worked using their own remote.Since I was already using a Xantech IR kit in front of the above equipment located in a closed cabinet I was assuming that the IOGEAR IRblaster would replace the Xantech kit relaying IR to the appleTV and blueray player. It did not.Tried changing IR frequency (at the receiver on TV2 in the next room) and wouldn't work.Called IOGEAR tech support who told me to return the equipment for replacement. The new one acted the same. Then tech support said it wasn't supposed to work from the receiver, only the transmitter. Cuda saved the return and replace hassle for both of us. In addition, IR seen by the transmitter is not repeated by IRblaster leaving me with no way to control equipment inside my closed cabinet. Therefore I have two IR emitters on each device. Had to put back the Xantech emitters. Works but better if IOGEAR would pass IR from transmitter to IRblaster. Now, on to the second problem. HDMI streams from all equipment is perfect EXCEPT HDMI from my DISH receiver. The stream from DISH has two problems. 1. occasionally, the stream will stop, no picture and no sound, for several seconds then continue as though nothing happened. It seems to know when there is something critical to the movie then glitch at that time. Maddening. 2. Some DISH content would not play at all giving a error message from the DISH receiver claiming the attached equipment is not HDCP compliant. NO, not going to see that content, usually a movie from TMC or simular. Tech support gave me NO help about the glitches and excuses saying the problem is with DISH, not them. After many attempts to describe the problem they would continue to deflect and ignore. It seems that they have no answer.I finally solved the HDMI, HDCP problems by buying a simple one in, two out HDMI splitter. Routed DISH output to the splitter and one splitter out to the IOGEAR transmitter. VIOLA!!, both problems are GONE and working fine for weeks now.Sooo... the simple splitter is okay with DISH but the IOGEAR equipment is not. Maybe they will wake up sometime.and I have only one word for tech support... GASP.

For the event company I work for these have been great. We have setups that have 2-5 TVs setup through the room and this was a great solution to not run a bunch of HDMIs through a venue.Since we run wireless DMX also, it's important to have a clear line of sight for the unit to function properly. We had issues with moderate obstruction like a wall.I do see drop out issues when we run them through walls, but that's common with most wireless HDMI and other wireless tech.Be careful within connecting TVs that are not the same resolution sizes, we ran into issues there where 1080 may drop to 720. It's a small gripe, but it's worth mentioning.I would recommend this if you are using it to solve wire problems but I'm not sure if I would recommend this for complex home use.

Great idea that works intermittantly

Generally works well. I have installed it in a church so we wouldn't have to run cable. The transmitter is on the sound desk where the audio board, amp, etc are installed. The receiver is mounted on the hanging projector mount all of 30 feet away with clean line of sight which isn't supposed to be an issue with this unit. We show movies and PowerPoint presentations, sometimes streaming video clips. What is annoying is that sometimes the units will not communicate to each other no matter what you do. So you get no picture. You shut it down and restart and it still won't work. And then it starts working again for apparently no good reason on another day. I think we are ready to find another solution.
