Perfect!
My dogs nails were less than a cm from cutting the quick and she runs very quick and hard when we’re out so boots would not do the trick so tried these. Easy to apply, plenty of adhesive, at least 5 packs of covers to choose from (all very glam!) and as you can see my dog is totally unbothered by them 😅 only thing I’d say is maybe Chuck in a few extra in each pack in case they fall off (which a few did to begin with but that’s because we didn’t let the adhesive dry for long enough). Other than that perfect!

Work amazingly for a few days.
Recommended these by our hydrotherapist. Put on both dogs with ease. They are mostly garish colours, it's a shame you can't pick what colour. After two days (no road walks off lead fields only) our 2 year old border collies were no longer in tact. After 2 weeks our 6.5 year old male border collies went the same way. When they were first done I would have rated 5*s, as these minimised slipping and sliding on our laminate floors completely... but they don't last long.

Traction Satisfaction
We purchased this product on the recommendation of our canine physiotherapist. We have an elderly German Shepherd Dog with reduced mobility due to a degenerative spine issue.Previously, whilst walking on areas of flooring in our home which are either tiled or wooden, he would often struggle and even slip as his properception has gradually reduced with time. Since we've introduced the Claw Cover Caps, not only has his movement improved but also his confidence has returned, safe in the knowledge that he is less likely to slip over.If I was being critical of any one point... it would be that the kit is over half full of PINK claw caps. Our dog is a boy - a retired police dog and100% a MAN. I appreciate that "colour has no gender" but there is NO WAY we are putting glittery pink claw covers on our 40kg retired police hero! The product is sold with plenty of adhesive, used to attach the claw caps and loads of the claw caps. In addition to Pink; Glittery Pink; and Garish Green claw caps, there are also Black and Blue. We use the black, which match almost seamlessly with his own claw coloring and the blue one's... the rest, we regrettably discard. Plain stupid and wasteful I know but our dog still has his reputation and dignity intact with the rest of the dogs in the neighbourhood. With regard to the longevity of them, I think it's all down to the mobility of your dog in conjunction with the landscape of your exercise routine... if your walking your dog predominantly on roads and paved areas, then I'd imagine that you'll find yourself needing to replace them far quicker than if you were to do the same activities on grass. In any event, you know when it's time to replace them when the tips of the claw show through the bottom in the same way your own toe nails wear a hole through your socks if your not religious with your nail care.In the event that you for any reason need to remove them, due to wear and tear, or nail clipping etc, then they peel away easily enough - without leaving any adhesive residue, or causing any damage to the claw.I give this product a strong 4 stars. I would be happier if there was an option to select a colour preference at point of purchase, rather than just the size option. Overall, colour aside, these are a winner.

Traction aids, but could be bigger
I bought the largest option available (XXL) for my giant schnauzer, who is a young dog who enjoys running and jumping around the house. Since moving to a home with hard floors, he's really struggled to get around and when running, will slip into walls/doors/household objects and we were concerned he could do himself damage.Saw some reviews on these that suggested they help with traction. Putting them on was slightly fiddly as they were not large enough to sit properly on his toes and so I had to trim the end off, making them more 'hoops' than 'caps'. Once they were trimmed down however, placing them on the dog was a breeze (one treat per successfully applied nail and he just lay there totally happy)Once on, he was able to walk, run and do everything he wanted with much greater stability! The only problem with using these on a young dog is their energy. Later the same day, we let him outside and he charged around on concrete, ripping off several of the caps (leaving his nails undamaged may I add) so owners of young/active dogs will need to be aware that you'll need to reapply more frequently but I think it's worth the trouble.I also would like the option to choose colour, as black/clear would be my preference and I wouldn't want to waste the excess plastic.TLDR:Good for traction, will fall off more frequently on a young/active dog, biggest size a bit too small for larger dogs.

good to stop old dog slipping on wooden floor
I bought these for my old lab when we stayed in my daughter's house with wooden floors. They stopped her slipping and gave her grip so she could get up on settee! They are quite fiddly to put on but stick very well. She didn't mind them at all and didn't seem to bother her. Very difficult to get them off once on and I just had to let them grow out and keep trimming her nails and then eventually they went.

Not worth the hassle. Only works for a couple of days!
Bought these due to our 5 month Vizsla puppy constantly jumping up and scratching our arms. It took 3 of us to keep the dog still enough to get them put on securely. They didn't seem to bother her in general at all once they were on, although she did catch one on her crate and really yelped in pain, which made us feel awful. The first couple of days they were a godsend. No more scratches! Unfortunately after 2 days her nails began to grow again and they pushed straight through the caps, meaning they were of no use whatsoever anymore, but we couldn't get them back off because of the glue so we've had to wait about 4 weeks for them to all fall off on there own. For the short amount of time that they were useful I'd say they really aren't worth the hassle of getting them on. You're much better to just get the dog used to a nail file and file them down regularly instead.

Bit small for a golden retriever but still useful
Got the largest size and I have to cut them before they will fit into my golden retrievers paws. Still worth buying. They do wonders to stop him skidding on wood floors. Just wish they came in a bigger size. XL isn't big enough for big dogs
