Adidas Energy Boost Mens Running Shoes

Great cushioning. Runs small. Solar Red is really orange.
Two things first off: 1) "Solar red" is bright orange. There's a little bit of orangish red at the toe that quickly fades to bright orange. But nobody would ever call these "red". 2) These run really small. I usually wear a 12-13 and occasionally a 12.5 when I can find them. I already have a pair of the Adidas Glide Boost 6s in a 13 and they fit fine. When I originally ordered the Energy Boost in a 13 they were so tight that I had to exchange them for 14s. I've never worn a 14 before! You'll definitely want to order them a size or so bigger. I'm not sure why they run quite this so small.I took up running about 10 months ago. I have been very pleased with my Glide Boost 6s. I've worn my new Energy Boosts for four runs and I like the Energy Boosts even more. The Energy Boost has a bit more Boost material in the heel and midsole. They feel cushioned without feeling mushy and seem to still be supportive. I really like them! And for some reason the 14s were really cheap!

that feels like it has a TON of cushion
lightweight nuetral racing shoe, that feels like it has a TON of cushion. Wore these for most recent ironman triathlon, and feet were in best condition ever, after an ironman. Went from using several adfditions of Nike pegasus to these, not wanting to sacrifice cushion, but shed weight. After recommendation from a much respected 9 time boston marathon running buddy,, i decided to try these out. They are as good as what he said. Only negative is that the red color is more like neon pink-orange. HATE the color. Should have opted for the black. none the less, that is small stuff, when you weigh in the crazy awesomeness of these shoes......

love the feel of this BOOST material
love the feel of this BOOST material. For some reason, the pattern and design of this shoe makes my feet look thick. not crazy about the look, but I'm happy about the design.I also have the Energy Boost II which has the plastic shoe lace eyelets. I must say, I like this original Energy Boost upper much better because the lacing eyelets are flexible and conforms to my feet much better. The plastic eyelets on the Energy Boost II dug into the top of my feet and it hurts.

Nice shoe, great rubber, buy a size bigger than Asics or Nike.
Just went for my first run in them, the boost rubber really propels and cushions you when going downhill. A bit heavier than the Asics DS Racers that I have been running in the past few months, but I like the sole material. These fit small, but I had tried on some Adidas boost shoes on a few months back and know that I needed a size 14 (normally a 13 in Asics and Nike). Rated the shoe as 'somewhat small' to give anyone just taking a peek a clue that they need to order up a size, but the 14 fits me great.

Fits 1/2 to 1 whole size too small. Excellent cushioning.
Fits 1/2 to 1 whole size too small. Normally wear size 10 in Brooks, Pearl Izumi, etc., but went with size 11 in Adidas Boost and so glad I did. Only have 23 miles in them right now, a mix of trails and road, with longest run a little over 8 miles, I'm loving the just-right cushioning, not too soft and not too firm. Does the Boost material add a springiness to the landing? I can't tell any difference. So far, I'm very pleased.

Great shoe, set several PR's...
This shoe really does seem to give a sort of boost when you are running. It is very light, and feels fast wearing it. It fits perfectly, and at first I was skeptical of the upturned toe? But it works great, and your toe does not get caught on stuff and so no stumbling... and it feels like it takes less energy to run also because you are not bending the toe so much every time you step off. You rock naturaly into your stride. A very comfortable plush-feeling and FAST shoe. It is hard to get that combination in a shoe, so I highly recommend this. I am not sure if it was a coincidence, but I set several PR's in it -- by a LOT. :-)*** UPDATE *** It is nearly a year later and these have become my favorite running shoes. I now have 2 pairs of this model in different colors, and also the Boston version... I am looking at the "ultra boost" right now and thought I would add to my review after a year in these shoes. I think the boost foam is so amazing that it trumps weight of the shoe in races. I have tried running a 5k with MUCH lighter shoes and then with these -- guess what? I am ALWAYS faster in these! Now here is the kicker -- I decided to run a 50-mile race in these... I had my old favorite shoes on stand-by in case these got painful or heavy after a few 10's of miles. They NEVER DID. They were the most comfortable shoes I ever wore in an ultramarathon. I set a PR in my 50-miler by 1.5 HOURS. Then, I ran some other long races (marathon, half-marathon) and set PR's in those too -- all with no pains, no blisters, no injuries... The next day after my 50-mile PR (~8 hours), I went out and raked leaves in the yard and realized NOTHING was SORE. My feet were fine. That never happened before. AWESOME SHOES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Outstanding walking sneaker.
I'm not a runner, but I wear sneakers all the time. These may be the most comfortable sneakers I own. I recently purchased a pair of Adidas Response Boost (which are great), but these seem to provide an even softer heel strike. The upturned toe gives me a more natural walk and since they are so light weight, it feels like I'm walking barefoot.I HIGHLY recommend these Adidas Energy Boost for runners and non-runners.

New 'Go To' Shoes
These are my new 'go to' shoes. I can wear them without any break in period. I used to be able to do that with Asics GT's but over the years Asics changed the shoes and I can no longer run in them comfortably. I tried New Balance with limited success. The Adidas feel comfortable on my foot, provide excellent cushioning and arch support. Going to buy a couple more pair for my own stock.
