KidKraft Grand Anniversary Wooden Dollhouse with Furniture, Gift for Ages 3+

After months of searching, I decided that this 1:6 scale house for Barbie was the best deal. Originally, I wanted the Real Good Toys Estate house or Real Good Toys Victorian Townhouse which are beautiful, but 3 x more expensive. This grand anniversary dollhouse had everything that I needed, but the color scheme was not working for me, so I took the time to spray paint the house a pale blue and kept the white trim. I painted the red doors white to offset the light blue. I also hung wreaths on the windows and doorway and put a topiary tree near the door. The result was gorgeous. I modified the floor plan in the interior of the home to add more room to the dollhouse. It turned out wonderfully.PRO(S) Beautiful workmanship. Very good quality and sturdy. Even though I wallpapered and repainted the inside of the house, I did admire the original artwork. I had ordered some custom furniture on Etsy that didn't match the original artwork inside. Love the working lights on the outside (2 ) coach lamps, as well as the working windows. The wood is sturdy and beautiful. Love that the house is similar to English dollhouses in the sense that it opens in the front. The musical piano is especially nice. This is a good pinterest project that you can customize for your child or yourself. I have received many compliments on the way I painted and changed the color scheme of the house.CON(S) The biggest con is the color scheme. The colors are too loud and garish for my taste though I understand that many real life victorian homes are painted in similar colors. However, for a dollhouse the colors are overwhelming. The house is time consuming to build, but when finished it is worth it. Also I was under the impression that the back of the dollhouse was painted due to an advertisement I saw f. I was disappointed that the dollhouse wasn't decorated in the back of the house like it was portrayed in a neiman marcus Christmas ad . Also the doll house only has a little bit of siding. Out of the 6 panels, only two panels had siding. However, like I said above once built and painted the dollhouse is exquisite

My Granddaughter was thrilled to receive this doll house at Christmas. The house was relatively easy to assemble and is extremely well made. The doll house comes with all the furnishings needed, which are already assembled. She was so fascinated that the porch lights turn on and the detailing of all the fixtures are so real. I am sure it will be a doll house that she will play with for many years.

It took forever to put to together. Other than that it was a big hit with my granddaughter for Christmas. This was the only item that kept her interest.

In theory a beautiful piece and I love that it closes. All of know the scramble of having people over and this quickly hides all the mess away. Nice sized doll house but the back panel never stays on in the closet area. Also one side of the porch snapped while putting it together so we had to bootleg it and use some white duct tape. We couldn’t wait because we had to give it to my daughter for Eid the next morning. It also took us a little over 5 hours to put this together. We saw the sun go up. Don’t leave this for last minute!I love how this dollhouse looks like nothing else out there on the market right now. It’s different and I like that it doesn’t look “generic” and pink and fru fru. We already have an abundance of that going on in our house. This is beautiful but not heirloom. I don’t think this dollhouse will last past a year or two. That being said my daughter(5) loves it. She plays with it everyday. It’s beautiful. As long as she’s happy.

Large beautiful dollhouse and easy to assemble. My daughter and I built this together and the patterns and colors are very pretty. Furniture and dollhouse are durable and front swings open easy

Beautiful play house, my 4 year old daughter loves it. Especially on play dates 😊

Well made and should last many years. Hopefully until our sweet 6 y/p granddaughter can pass on to her daughter some day

Bought for my now four year old at Christmastime. There are a lot of pieces and it took about four hours (and two bottles of wine) to fully assemble. However, it was easy to do with very clear directions, it just takes a bit of time.
